Did better then someone and got a worse grade?

I just got 21/0/12 in a normal blind pick 5X5, and recieved an A, someone on my team got a S- with 15/6/11 (Does this make sense to anyone?). I've been trying to win a chest, I've done everything everyone says , I don't jump out of champion selection, get banned/reported on, or anything that would penalize me... It shows a little filled in chest and banner on the champs that I won chests with. So I tried a champ that doesn't have that.

I guess I'm mainly asking/begging something to change with the grading because the grade I just received doesn't make any sense to me....to quote Mr. Magatoo from Zoolander, "i feel like I'm taking crazy pills".

In the champions tab in my profile It says the highest grade with Ashe is an A and it has a filled in chest and banner so if I've received a chest with an A and have been getting A's people/this site says you need to get an S to get a chest, which way is it?

One factor I don't think people have mentioned yet is the champion you played. Your stats get matched against those of players who also played that champ. So going 16/0/10 on someone like Graves isn't as impressive as going 14/4/7 on someone like Urgot

The only way you can get a chest with a grade that isn't an S, is if you are paired up with friends that get an S grade in the match you played. You did not get a chest by getting an A with Ashe.

You get an "F" grade. It should be "than".

It depends on the average statistics of the champion. If you play Zed Mid in Bronze and get that, you might get an A. If you play Graves Jungle and get that, that's an S+.

Other things like match performance and team bonuses factor in. If you have a lot of kills, but low damage, that's not an S worthy grade.

A support gets an S grade easier than Top or Mid because the bar is really high. Supports get S's even when they go 2/8/35 because of the map presence and assists. Two assists ~ 1 kill, so they would've actually gone 19/8/1 with a lot of map presence.

by the way, looking thru the comments it doesn't tell u why u didnt get a chest anyway so imma tell u

you can only get a specific amount of chest every month/week

go to your profile and u can see your aram reroll progress thingy. look above it a bit and u see how many chest you can earn, and how many days until the next one is available

this is to prevent you from locking all your playable champs for the whole season and also to prevent you from grinding chests easily.

you also might have already earned a chest on the champ you played in question and that makes it so you cant get a chest playing that champ anymore

hope that helps :P Best of luck in the Rift, Summoner. :D

One of these days people are going to have to start learning to do a search to see if their question has been asked before... This one in particular must have close to a thousand similar threads by now.

The following is from someone that answered me and my answer to their questions::

Answer me these questions about that match:

-Did you help push towers? -Did you use pink wards? -Did you have a good CS?

------Match history's on this site is more detailed and said I took down the first tower (which was mid) it doesn't tell me the rest.

I guess I've never used pink wards yet, which I see goes towards your Creep Score I killed 101 minions it says. So I'm not sure how good of cs that is?

Thanks for answering.

Chests require a rank of S-, S, or S+ from you or someone in your premade team while you also have at least one remaining available chest, have yet to receive a chest while playing that champion this season, and are in good standing as far as punishments go. At that point, you are given a chest and the champion you were playing is no longer eligible to receive a chest for the season, regardless of what champion actually received an S rank.

That being said, if you were playing Ashe and your friend was playing Darius, and you got an A rank or a B rank or what have you, and he got an S rank, you've earned your chest on Ashe, and if he's eligible for a chest, he's also earned his for Darius.
