Could someone please tell me why the community is so toxic

I mean come on, you get on league to have a good time with friends and such and then boom that one clitsquiggle speaks and for the rest of the game its nothing but complaining about how you play/build, and it honestly doesnt help to mute them because then everyone else gets mad at you for not trying to communicate or the moral of the whole team just dies, is it really that hard to try to play a good match with one of your favorite champs and such. Just throws me off completely and its stupid a'f. Reporting doesnt seem to do anything either. The life of b2 is stupid. Regret not waiting to play those last 4 promo's

People are toxic because of the following reasons...

The game is competitive
You have to rely on other's to win the game because it's a team effort.
People were raised without proper discipline from their parents and act rudely because they don't know better. Or they know better and just don't care.

Actually, the third reason has a little more to it. Because of the computer screen and typing, people feel more aloof to the people they are chatting with and don't particularly see them as real people like they view their friends. This enables them to say a lot more harsh things(without consequence) than what they say in real life.

Also you have anonymity on the internet, so some people act in a way that they would consider horrible in real life.

Personally, I have more positive experiences than negative, but i have been in your position before regarding toxic team members. The best you can do is report them after the game. I know it doesn't seem like your reports go anywhere, but I'm pretty sure they do. Some of my friends troll as toxic people, and they've been banned before. They stopped being toxic because they realized it wasn't so funny. I think the community can seem toxic since some people think there is no consequence to being toxic online, and when people get frustrated, they'll take it out on someone else. Also, people can over-estimate their skill, and think they belong somewhere else in the ranking, and they may just flame a lot because they believe they're stuck in their ELO because of others exclusively.

One other thought...in my experience at least 90% of people in League are fairly reasonable. Thing is, at that rate there will be on average slightly less than 1 jackass in every game (if we assume you aren't a jackass), with a 44% chance that the jackass will be on your team. In other words, if less than 10% of people are jerks, you can still have a jerk on your team one out of every three games. Just something to keep in mind.

People spend socializing time on this game and have no one to vent their frustration out to so it blows up in the game because it brings out many emotions and feelings.... or jana camps fountain and just places endless wards with sightstone while hitting no for every surrender vote

I actually didnt think people would comment on this, I only posted it this out of frustration XD
