Why is the support always the one to blame?

Its not the supports fault that you are doing bad top/mid/jg early on, and it certainly isnt my job to ward the map every 5 seconds, you can upgrade your ward for 250. I hate it cause you can support your lane really well and get shit on for it. Also hate it when no one groups up and they go in one by one and die and low and behold, Support its your fault we are losing. "I wish I had an actually support" I know what role im not trying to play anymore. Seriously, I dont understand how you supps deal with it. And yes you can mute them but you only get reported for it. I know some people dont do well when supporting but to the people that do, you shouldnt say they are the reason why your team/you are doing bad. Especially when you have poor decisions and are the most demanding mofo out there

Edit(2): Respect your team, makes for a better and more fun match.

Nami bubbles a fleeing target to bring its health within kill range, watches carry hit it with another attack before the bubble lands, causing Nami to get the kill

MissFortune "wow really?"

Later:

Nami ults to interrupt a Warwick ult on an ally whose health bar she can't see, and kills him MissFortune "nami you need to stop"

Later:

MissFortune pings for assistance in the middle of the jungle "heal" Nami starts moving some 2000 units in that direction MissFortune (2 seconds later) "heal"

As a support, I'm not going to apologize for securing kills and protecting my team, least of all with a KDA of 3/1/17, and I am not your lapdog to come running across the map when you want to heal up and take blue before backing. I have three other teammates to help. Carries, if you treat your support like this, as soon as the laning phase is over, I'm going to help the jungler secure objectives, and if you know what's good for you, you'll tag along, because I'm not going to babysit you if you act like an entitled, mouthy brat. I will take that Mikael's I bought with the kill gold and shove it right up your crowd-controlled behind, and you can cleanse yourself. Not really, because the team needs you to win, but you're still an awful human being making the game incredibly unfun. Hypothetically.

The problem is the mindset that the support and the jungler are supposed to win your lane for you. While that's utterly ridiculous, too many people think that.

As a jungle main, I feel your pain. "shit jg never ganks" (is always either pushed to the enemy turret, backing, or dead) "Well, I can't gank under their tower" "its called towerdiving" (dives, gets no followup, and cant solo kill because I'm a tank) "dude wtf don't feed my lane"

I once had my adc whine at me because I hooked their adc as Thresh just before they started attacking their Sona. "Wtf Thresh hook the one I'm targeting" It could've easily been a kill for us but then they both walked away with moderate to low health.

its human nature, people think a supports job is easy, and if they are doing bad... they need someone to blame. Naturally, they just blame the support or jungler, since those roles usually impact the laning phase the most ;c

That's why riot created bard. Graves wow bard what a noob missed your stun .... wait where are you going?! Bard I'm on a chime run. Forever.

Ashe (makes no attempt to not get blitz pulled at any point during laning phase) Ashe (gets blitz pulled every time it's off cooldown) Nami (tries to salvage the skirmishes and make the most out of the situation, but you can't do much when your adc keeps getting pulled) Ashe omg useless support do something wtf im afk

I only blame the support if they are to be blamed lol. If I am doing shitty, then I blame myself. But if you are going to pick Leona, stand behind the minion wave, not use relic shield, and pretty much jack off by the tower, you shouldn't be playing League. If you pick Brand support, die 11 times and don't buy a sightstone the entire game because you wanted to play mid Brand, you shouldn't be playing League.

I think a lot of the hate for support comes from the fact that it is usually their fault. I say this because 90% of the time, in my games at least, support is played by the 5th pick who says, "anything but support". Then they suck at it because they weren't intelligent enough to practice support before playing ranked games. So yes, blaming the support for your own shit play is annoying, but most the time the support actually does suck lol.

Support main here! Along with junglers, I feel that supports are definitely the most abused individuals in the game. My favorite complaint is when I have three wards out and am told that the jungle is too dark. You have a free ward, please use it. Yes, I have a Ruby Sightstone, but no, I cannot have more than three wards down at once.

I used to be too afraid to secure kills because I didn't want to steal them, but I've learned that it's better to just take the kill (or at least keep attacking until they're dead, instead of backing off when they have 100 HP). Far too many times I've thought that a kill was secured when oh, they flashed away and now we don't have a kill. A kill is better than no kill, regardless of who got it.

One time I was playing Nami and we were chasing someone that we had absolutely zero chance of catching up to. I used Ebb and Flow on my adc to get the kill, and they bitched me out for taking the kill. And regardless if they could have taken the kill, I'd rather have a definite than a maybe.

You read my mind. Our jungle kept asking me to ward when I had all three out and a pink. So frustrating.

Kurama75/30/2015, 11:34:55 PM4 votes

I've mained both support and jungle...they are by far the most blamed positions in the game. While playing support team wants you to: have 65wards on the map, is 1 bush isent warded its your fault your bad, even though you can only have 3 wards + a pink out at one time and others can ward. Omg you took a cs!!!! (my ability is aoe and cc'd the enemy...sorry for helping you trade). Ask laner if they want to be aggressive or passive, they say aggressive, 2minutes into game "OMG I JUST WANT FARM DONT POKE THEM", they want passive "OMG GG NO POKE FROM SUPPORT, NOT MAKING MY AGGRESSIVE PLAYS BLAH BLAH" Jungle: Every lane wants you to: give up your jungle to them, always give blue buffs (even if they dont use or dont deserve), dont touch their cs ever, sit in their lane only, call pings, always gank other lanes while staying in their lane somehow, stay above enemy jungler in cs and levels but dont leave their lane. Secure every objective on spawn, instantly, never miss a smite or take a kill when ganking, miss a skill shot might as well afk, don't build tanky, you're "bad", dont have enough damage to kill someone as a tank you're "bad", don't "peel" for adc when they melee range people with cc, dont even get me started with laners who die before i've even done my 2nd camp and expect me to be full hp and in their lane with red buff + level 3... ETC. They are by far the most abused positions in the game, and half the time the other positions don't ever see anything you do well, only the bad.

Only @bronze, Gold+=junglers fault xd

Svddenly5/31/2015, 1:07:26 AM2 votes

I think you spelled jungler wrong.

Phife5/30/2015, 5:10:46 PM2 votes

no, but its really easy to spot out a shitty support.

You've got one of the easiest jobs in the game, you dont have to CS you just gotta pressure ur enemy lane from cs'ing and harass. Come late game, if you're just jerking around people notice that kinda of shit.
