Can we Talk about Animations?

Please tell me why there are skill animations in the game when they still hit you if you are off the animation... I main bot ADC and if I get stunned by one more Jhin stun, Blitz Hook, Naut hook, etc when I am nowhere near the damn thing I'm going to scream!
