looking at my friend play on his bronze 4 account, people are unreasonably concentrated on metapicks. if you pick any non-meta or off meta picks, they flame and call you troll.
my friend's mastery of teemo is probably leagues above anyone in his elo but they whine and complain when he takes him support. when he ends up carrying they say nothing but before that, its constant flames.

Because players often don't trust another player's skill when there's an "OP" brain dead champion to play.
Because Teemo instantly tilts most players.
That's what separates a good player vs a bad one. In this game really, it's not what champion you play (for the most part) it's how you play them.

I just escaped Bronze today, and it was by playing off metas such as Urgot, Galio, Braum, Tahm Kench and Nidallee. My brother always said to jg with Jax cause he's Meta. Yeah right. every1's Lesson of the day: Play who you are good as and who is fun to you :)
