Anyway to test a build without ending up trolling your teammates?

I have only been testing some build on Coop vs AI and found out that it may work on that mode but not always on PvP.

Is it okay to test an experimental build on PvP without being a douche or a troll?

If you aren't confident it's going to work in PvP it's probably an indicator that you probably shouldn't. That being said, if you properly explain that you're trying out an experimental build:

  1. The nice teammates will understand what you're doing so you don't have to worry about messing up their game
  2. The flamers are toxic so you don't have to worry about messing up their game either

All in all, in Normals as long as you aren't intentionally trying to grief others anything goes

If it's something nuts that has a chance of being awful, you could try custom PvP games. Those don't ruin anyone's win/loss records, as they're completely off the books. You can even leave those games without incurring a penalty.

Yes, it is ok. I would do it through Team Builder as I find that alot of people in Team Builder test out champs since you can get the position you want. As long as you're not feeding (which you shouldn't be regardless of the build), then you probably won't catch much flak. I find Team Builder to be pretty casual.
