Deathfire touch Sivir

Shouldn't death fire touch apply for sivir's W. I tried but it didn't work it s a damaging ability. Could it be a bug?

Ricochet does not apply spell nor on-hit effects. It WILL apply on-attack effects, such as Thunderlord's Decree

Which should be really easy for her to proc

Death fire touch says damaging abilities not on-hit effects. Shouldn't they include it to sivir's W or change the mastery text?

Sivir's ricochet is an attack modifier (like nasus' q) so they count as Auto's but don't apply on hit effects. DFT procs require something to have on spell effects. So if it can proc spell vamp it can proc DFT.
