ban mids who refuse to follow their laners

Mid laners who always let their laner roam and feed on other players are the cancer of this game. By their fault, their team is 4v5 half of the game. No, it's not because they're pro players. No need to start trying to desperately defend riot by saying "buuuut zed has more mobility nuuhhhh", you'd only be humiliating yourself, because you're talking about SILVER PLAYERS here. No, theyre just awfully bad. They have 0 fkn map awareness, skills, but, worst of all, they're cancerous little rats with the worst team spirit. They WANT their team to deal with their laners because they're incapable of farming 1v1. They INTENTIONALLY become a hindrance half of the game. And these people often manage to reach more than 50% winrate and climb, and that's how silver becomes the worse fkn plague. But they have no place in ranked. They're a fucking burden, theyre intentionally ruining other people's games and that's a bannable offense. So WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY NOT BANNED?

This should maybe give you a hint that it's not always the best strategy to follow a roam every single time. Have map awareness yourself and good vision, and you can make that enemy midlaner's roam pointless, while your mid gets ahead off plates/farm.

Or just ban people who ignore pings and refuse to lisen to the team. Oh wait. Its already reportable :)

No it isn't. I dont have to listen to anyone spam pinging me lol. As a matter of fact, I'm much more likely to go out of my way to not listen to people who spam ping

refusing to play with the team is bannable and its your problem if you die,

Eedat1 votes

No, it's absolutely not.

I don't need to. I won't do what people tell me to do all the time and having been playing for 6+ years with no punishments.

I don't have to listen to a word you say and will never get punished for it because it's not punishable.

yo i have seen people straight up not see someone walk down through the river on 3 wards. THREE WARDS! mid river brush, one at dragon, and one at bot river brush. Zed walks on all the wards 3 fucking wards they can't react to someone walking all that distance in clear sight? literal clear sight. explain what exactly is going on there. i'm at B, i have pinged that he's left the lane as he passes ALL THE WARDS. and these fucking shitters still get killed to the zed roam. are you fkfkaj kidding me? i do not forgive you lot for dying to someone walking on all the wards while i return to lane from shop and retrieve minions from the turret. wtf are ya'll doing?

Thats ridiculous. There are alot of times where you should absolutely NOT follow your enemy laner.

Ever tried following an Ekko ? No? Where here is what happens

  1. Ekko waveclear is so brainless to pull off while being able to clear pretty fast compared to other players early on.

  2. Your minions are now dying to your tower while you're following ekko, putting you behind in BOTH XP and Gold.

  3. Ekko is already in position to punish you for following since he is able to make his move first (especially in fog of war)

  4. Do you even know where his jungler is?

  5. You died (or if lucky forced to blow sums and recall) and will now be 2/3 levels behind ekko while also being zero threat to him (or anyone else) unless the enemy team screws up.

Now apply all of that to any other champion that can shove you in and you'll get the same result. You can do something however, back off when you see mid missing and don't know what side of the map enemy jungler is on, boom problem solved.

Ban people who are bad at the game aka people below master?

If a mid-laner plays vs. an assassin (or any high mobility champ) I can understand if they cant follow. But then at least do one of the following:

  • shove your lane to deny enemy laner's gold and xp
  • take a plate(s)
  • roam top/bot (depending on where enemy mid went)
  • help with herald (if possible)

If you dont do either of this things and instead just LH creeps and complaining about your teammates dying from your enemy mid laner while pinging only once (lets face it, with all other shit happening on other sides of the map you wont register one ping) then Ill call you out and I hate midlaners like those.

I do agree with lBhDaORandolph, been playing this game for seven years, most mid laners who let enemy mid roam and butcher allies do not actually do the necessary to punish the roaming. You cannot expect bot not to die. The fact is, the roamer is making a play and they will find a way to make it work. Despite bot's attempt to survive, 1 or both can die due to a turret dive by the roaming mid laner. Often times, they cannot be any safer. Happens in my plat games all the time. The roamer is making a play and it is only fair that there are consequences to lazy play by the non-roamer with tunnel vision. Pings do not stop the roaming, ward as much as you want, someone will die. I've learned over the years that most people know how to lane just fine, but it is those who take initiative and make plays who deserve the win.
For example: afraid of following a Zed down river??, that is because you are countered or out matched by the Zed which is still mid's FAULT. A Ryze mid is a classic example among many others. Ryze has been at the bottom of the win rate charts for mutliple years, not just a few patches, but years. People still play him and expect to win. Like come on.......if you do not play a competitive mid pick, how can you make plays. you are creating problems for your allies. It comes down to taking initiative in game, and choosing competitive champs. If you do not then you have to accept consequences. The champion pool has never been balanced since the start of the game and it is up to us to stay on top of things ourselves.

Some champs CANT follow. Its the Mids Job to PING, Follow (if they can) or Push (if they cant)

I agree but Pings do not stop the roaming, even ward as much as you want, someone will die. Most roaming champs whom noone can safely follow are the type who can dive turrets, so they often get their way anyways. I have seen this in plat and diamond games. When someone roams bot for example, the other person has to either follow, roam top, or aggressively push. Pinging will only delay the inevitable.
