Just wondering if riot had commented on him not being included in the tank rework? If it is because of needing more work than what was able to be done in the mid season update, what is the timeline for his update?

Malphite needs a VGU anyways, his model is just....Ech.

SkyblazeHydraX31 votesAs someone else said, and Riot explained, it's simply the fact that a lot of tanks need so much work done on an individual level that most of them would be better off getting VGUs. Sejuani, Zac, and Maokai either got VUs or were released recently enough that Riot could afford the three of them some attention and work in a timely manner. The tank update is mostly going to be on the systematic end, regarding items and interactions between stats.

OtterlyLost1 votesI'm actually surprised that they left Malphite out as well. :/ I'm also kind of sad that they didn't do any small reworks. There are other tanks that could use touch ups besides Sej, Mao, and Zac and I'll admit, I'm not terribly impressed with what they've done on them. I don't like Maokai's new ult, Sejuani is only good with teams that have melee champions for the most part, and Zac... barely was touched. :/ They didn't address the fact that he was monstrously bursty for a tank at all I'm willing to bet. Where are the touch ups for Malphite and Rammus? Rammus does basically the EXACT same thing as Zac, Mao, and Sej. Rolls in, taunts a high priority target, and ults to do AOE damage. :/ Why didn't he get anything?

Jeddy0171 votesBecause Maphite needs an entire VGU (Think Sion, Poppy, Warwick, etc) to address his issues. Rammus is in the same boat. I think Nautilius & Amumu need VGUs too but I'm not too sure about them.
So half the options for this tank update (remember, they were focusing on Vanguards) needed a lot more love than a roster update can give them. Mao, Sej & Zac were the only ones in a decent enough spot where a roster update was good enough (the results of the updates may vary). The rest of the Vanguard tanks like Sion or Leona are in solid spots.
