Yasuo broken - Or items?

Full disclosure : I'm a Yasuo main with 666(teehee)k yasuo mastery points.

I honestly don't believe that Yasuo himself needs nerfs. Rather, it's three things that make a lot of champions, not just yasuo, pretty strong. The holy tridefecta of item 3078 item 3022 and Fervour of Battle. Each of these items is incredibly over tuned right now. Fervour and frozen mallet is core on Tank Teemo. Fervour and Triforce is core on tank ekko. Fervour and Triforce is core on Irelia. Hell, Triforce is even core on ezreal now. It's meant for bruisers, but it just gives so much damage that way too many people build it. Fervour gives a huge advantage to attack speed based tanks, as it raises their DPS significantly. Honestly, these nerfs are probably coming anyways - My only worry is that the champions hit with the nerf bat, such as yasuo, ekko and gnar, will not be able to recover after having both their items and their stats nerfed.

I wouldn't be so convinced if I hadn't seen this happen time and again before, such as sejuani during the cinderhulk meta. She got nerfed hard, cinderhulk got nerfed hard, and now shes a weaker gragas.

Please, even if you hate yasuo, try to see the problem here. It's not Yasuo, or ekko, or irelia. It's the amount of damage and utility in items and masteries such as triforce, frozen mallet and fervour of battle.

Its the combination of Fervor, Triforce and the overloaded nature of their kits that make it as strong.

The problem with nerfing fervor is that you indirectly nerf the majority of adcs

Except ADCs can abuse it too and it offers damage too easily for what it is.

It´s the only thing ADCs(and Kayle, since she's a marksman too, going by Riot's new class system) can use effectively with the possible exception of maybe Jhin and Caitlyn. Although the latter is more of a personal preference. I love critting and proccing TLD at the same time with Cait.

At what point do we define constant use as abuse?

Going by the dictionary, abuse can be defined as:

Corrupt practice or custom

Improper or excessive use

Physical maltreatment

Since ADCs going FoB is nowhere near being improper, it can only fit into excessive use, which is correct.

Now do explain that, excluding personal preferences for Keystones like my own and Jhin's case of going sometimes DFT, what other Keystone can they use?

Warlord's? Stormraider's? Grasp?

I mean, those are the only relatively offensive keystones they can use.

I'm talking just about how much damage Fervor can deal easily. So like, for instance, changing scaling to like bonus AD with a lower AD scaling in general to destroy both tank/bruiser builds and reduce how silly strong it is in general.

Indeed.

Personally, i´d like to see it scale with amounts of AD.

Like, Deal the current damage it does per 150 AD or 175, to encourage heavy AD builds on those abusing it. People like Yasuo, for instance. And 60% less than the current per 100 AD. And a whole lot less, like 70 to 85% less with anything under 100 AD.

Not something i actually gave much mathematical thought to, but i think that would solve the go "tanky, do puns of damage" issue.

ADCs already buy a lot of AD, and since they´re a bit more late game oriented, Going for 150 or 175 AD would ensure that power spike.

Or i dunno, maybe have the damage scale up every 75 AD. Little extra damage on the beginning, lots of it by late game.

Tank yasuo definitely needs a nerf, hence the changes on the PBE that state

Last Breath (R) - secondary effect of increased bonus armor pen now only applies to Yasuo's critical strikes rather than all attacks.

That's fine I think, as it shouldnt matter too much once triforce and frozen mallet are brought into line. However, there is also a nerf to his overall attack speed - It's a lot lower at every level except one. There's just no reason to hit it once triforce and mallet are brought into line. He hasn't been changed in a long time, and yet he's suddenly meta. Why? Because of the synergy between Triforce, Mallet and Fervour.

I don't actually believe Yasuo is broken but I ban him every game. I ban him because I don't trust any of the players on my team to know how to counter him. I don't trust any of the players on my team to know who to target with damage, or with cc, or who and how to peel. I ban him because I don't want a bad one on my team. I just can't find any reason not to ban Yasuo. I even ban him when I plan on picking a champ that counters him. He is too easy to snowball off of bad feeding players and take over a whole game. Low risk, high reward defined in one word. Yasuo.

I wouldnt quite call Yasuo low risk. If you look through my match history, and yes this could be because i'm bad, but the games I lose, I lose HARD. I'm talking 0/8 hard. If you get behind, it's pretty difficult to climb back.
