Do people still hate Ekko?

I started to play Ekko after the series of nerfs and I have to say, he's pretty hard to play. I've been playing Ekko for more than 10 games and I still suck with him. The mana cost on his ult screwed me up tons of times so I can't have a free escape or finish someone off.

I just don't understand why people say he is OP. I know he got tons of numbers, a shield, slows, and stuns but he deserves it because it takes more effort to land his skills compare to Leblanc or Zed. None of it is point and click except his E, and even then it's not a reliable escape. It doesn't make sense to nerf his damage to the same as an ordinary AP caster's damage if his skills are way more difficult to land.

Do you still hate Ekko?

He's definitely not op. He may be a tad overloaded, but with his 43.6% win rate, its hard to complain about how he's dominating games.

What really fucks me over is the damage radius on his ult. It doesn't seem like the visual's match up, and I have a hard time landing it when it appears the clone appears to be right next to the enemy.

people do. Still an insta-ban in my opinion. I'd say hes heavier a threat in the jungle, atm though.

I never hated him because he was "op" or "too strong". I hated/hate Ekko because his kit is a mess because it seems like Riot was trying to stuff as much into each ability as they could, as if they were afraid to leave out any of the ideas they had for him.

He's just too mobile in the right hands and I will always hate him

Yes.

Ekko is so mobile that he can just be straight up unfair against a fair amount of the roster. When played even half decently, his kit creates this situation where you can neither catch him nor escape from him. You're kind of just slowed and immobilized while he runs circles around you.

Also, with the way his ult and AP scaling shield work, it makes it very difficult to gauge if you can win a trade against him. The only choice a lot of champions have against Ekko is to just not engage ever, which doesn't make for fun or balanced gameplay.

He has alot of stuff in his kit, AND he is an assassin, so he will always be hated (unless he is nerfed to worthlessness)

Some of the quiet down in QQ though is some of these people actually finally learned to play against him, or have teamates who do.

I always thought Ekko was a bit on the strong side but easily managable if you just pay attention. I played him a ton in teambuilder when he was first released so I learned his kit, and he wasnt that scary anymore to play against.
