I'm Confused. Would Love Someone To Clarify!

Hello all! This is my first preseason, and I have no idea what that actually means. I have been following this new ranked stuff and I'm seeing people complaining etc, but thats besides the point. I would love for someone to explain it to me.

What is preseason? How does it work and what does it do to my rank?
Why does it still show a rank for me? I thought the season ended, shouldn't it all have reset? I ended at Silv V, and it still shows that.
Why is there is a different section for Flex 3v3 and Flex 5v5 on the medals list on the profile? Why isn't it all just one category?

Preseason a time to adjust to new patch changes. You can play ranked games and advance in rank, but you don't get any rewards. Basically, your mmr can go up or down and is your starting mmr for your season 7 placements. So basically, a little less serious, but still serious as it can affect your starting rank next season.

Preseason rank continues off your season 6 rank. Its a little different this year since there will be two queues next season. It sounds like Flex rank is a new queue so you have to do 10 placement games before having a rank. I believe solo/duo (when introduced soon) will go off your season 6 rank. So once that queue is up you will continue off the current rank you see in your profile
