I'd be TICKLED to know how I just had to face a Diamond 1 player in a SR unranked 5 v 5 just now. Everyone on my team is not even level 30 yet, and we faced a team that had a level 40 Diamond 1 riven top lane??????????
EDIT: I just checked out their other players and they ALSO had a PLAT 2 ADC!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!? WTF RIOT???????? SO A PLAT 2 ADC AND A DIAMOND 1 TOP VERSE A TEAM OF UNDER LEVEL 30 UNRANKED NEW PLAYERS??????????????
Possibly some high level player's alt account that they leveled to 30, then played nothing but ranked. Their normal's MMR stayed super low, but they climbed rank.
My entire team no one is above level 28 and we faced a team of 4 ranked level 30's and a level 40 diamond 1 riven? Id show the match history right now, but I think thats frowned upon right? Like posting the persons name?
literally almost every single match i played when i was getting my smurfs to 30 was a sub level 30 duoing or have 3+ in their party. Ranged from diamonds to bronze almost every single game duoing with the sub 30
Edit: yep as i said the plat and diamond are queued up with the rakan. Why are they in the game i dont know since nobody else on their team was pre 30

I might be able to help. First keep in mind each Que has its own MMR. Next up.

Now then lets look at riots Matchmaking priority's.
"The basic priorities of the system are (in respective order): Protect new players <----------------- Create fair and competitive matches Make games less toxic by matching you with the right players."
That's right, its a higher priority to prevent newbies being abused, so unranked or not if your MMR is high in normal expect to get placed with other players with high mmr. You can smurf to abuse folks or que up with smurf/bad players to abuse folks, but that's so unfun for players who are less skilled that Matchmaking will occasionally make lopsided games in its attempts to prevent it, and odds are if your one of the people being/looking abusive you run a higher chance for it to throw you to the wolfs. You wanna play with your skill range? don't smurf, play lots of ranked. You wanna play in competitive environment with hommies? Make a team, play ranked. You wanna smurf and destroy new players or lower elos? have at.... just don't get mad when MMR pushes back.
