Unable to play champs I like or that I'm good with due to LCS picks

My summoner name is Unleash the Pwni.

I have always loved playing the underdog or unconventional champs but noticed I have to mentally prepare before every game because I get flamed every single time.

I've noticed this is almost entirely due to LCS picks.

I typically play Trundle top, Urgot mid/top/jungle/adc, AP Ez mid, GP mid, & Zil mid before his rework.

Only after LCS saw AP Ez did I notice that the flaming stopped almost entirely when I picked him.

My last 3 games I got flamed, trolled, & reported due to my picks alone even though I played decent considering the circumstances I was placed in.

Not sure when people forgot this was still a game or how to enjoy themselves but it's driving me crazy.

It's hard to enjoy yourself when there's someone stubborn on your team who can't even play his #hipsterunderdog picks properly.

There are a couple of reasons why you may have been flamed:

People thought you picked LCS champs just to become an LCS wannabe.
Even today, nobody likes Urgot, despite whatever lane he goes to T.T
As Nucleophilic Atk said, your KDA is considered averagely bad. You may have good kills, but you gave more gold advantage to enemies as well. Try to practice more.

The problem isn't that you pick these champs, it's that you pick these champs and don't even play that well with them. "I got flamed even though I played well", yea 14/16/14 is really good. You didn't even have a 2.0 kda bro. You were probably flamed for picking Urgot and playing shitty with him lol. You don't even have a 3.0 kda with any of your main champs.

I had a poppy spree not too long ago. Even when I started learning her and didn't do that good, I don't remember being flamed any more than I did when I did bad normally. When I got good with her, the flaming naturally stopped.

If you're good with your picks, it doesn't really matter what other people say. You're getting harassed, mute them. They report you for picking off-meta champs, hope they enjoy getting punished for abusing the report system.

However, like most other people in this thread, I'm seeing that you're not really doing fantastic with them. Some of your build choices (IE? Really? Not an IG, a BC, a LW, or a defensive item?) are a little sketchy, and even in the games you win your deaths can get pretty high. But keep playing what you enjoy and what you're good at, ignore the haters and complainers.

With your picks and level of skill you should be prepared for flame and reports.

You say that your teammates are trolling, however, the only person that seems to be trolling (to your teammates) is you. Imagine if someone on your team was on the deciding game for his/her promos/series and you decide to play Urgot and go 5-15-0??

Sure there's no problem playing non-meta champs in norms, but if you decide to take it to ranked you better be playing at a high level.

I feel like the LCS got turned on its head, and anything and everything is coming out.

The main thing none of you are addressing is regardless of my picks.. if they aren't seen in LCS you have a much higher chance of getting flamed.

All I see from you guys is the same thing this thread is about.
