Is Bard Relevant Now?

I played two games in a row today, one in which our entire team fed (including me...)and we lost in 24 minutes with an enemy Bard, and just after that a game where I played the champ myself, and we won in 21 minutes with twice as many kills as the enemy.

The only common element I see is that Bard was present at some point. Is he finally viable now? It feels like his early game poke is noticeable, and roaming is more rewarding. Note that this was written just before 5.8.

I really hope this is happening, because one of my favorite playstyles is roaming support (I do this with too), with the ability to help multiple lanes and place wards where others wouldn't dare go. The QoL changes coming up will only improve this even further, and I like where he is now

The exp boost on his chimes looks like it will really help him out, but his Shrines are still completely terrible mid-late game for their heal and his tunnel is still too difficult to click on.

To tell you the truth i got 69 games on him so far with a 57% winrate on bronze-silver leagues and i think he's the best lane-phase agressive support with the toolkit he has but there seems to be a problem handling lategame fights where in solo Q most of the times you'll use your ulti you'll get flamed cause of lack of coordination in moves.For example you have an adc with Zed and fizz ulti on him running in pack with 2 more people, you ulti him to cancel those ulties and protect the other two from fizz ulti while you tunnel next to them to offer escape (knowing that you will stun anyone that comes out in the other end if the enemy follow), they don't use the portal they get killed and you get flamed.I think it's just too soon for people to get to know him cause he is a complex champ that REQUIRES roaming (something supports not always do) and his style of play has nothing to do with what people knew or expected so far from a support champ.He is really fun and so freaking useful i'm sure people will have fun with him once they get used to him.
