I have never beat a Viktor mid.

Really? He doesn't feel all that oppressive unless you play a melee assasin mid. Winning an all in against him 1v1 is hard but he is a control mage, so that is probably natural. Maybe play Orianna, azir or annie against him? Just my 2 cents, not sure if its right. Good luck beating him next time!

Try this fella You can control the wave as well as he can, you outrange most of his stuff, and after a you can just kill him or force summs from about 80% hp or less. Your high base MS (+%MS quints if you're comfortable) means he has a rough time sticking damage to you.

If you don't believe me, champion.gg spots Viktor a 42% winrate in this matchup. Statistically there are 4 better picks but I love vel and maybe you haven't tried it yet :)

He has to get close to land his burst, and even then he lacks cc and mobility to do so, leaving you room to escape his burst. If you're a poking mage then just waveclear and poke him out. If you're all-in burst like annie or brand, stun, throw your skills, then disengage when stun's over. I'd say he's pretty weak early on ,_,

I have beaten a Viktor mid with Master Yi. After i solokilled him once he went afk.

I Leblanc into him and just absolutely waste him Early. Then basically I have to end the game before 30 Cause if he gets farmed late game he's a monster

Try picking something that outranges him. Lux is a painfully hard lane, though Lux is a painfully hard lane for literally everyone.

Past that, just learn to predict his E and try to stay in a position where he can't death ray the wave and still hit you with it.

Usually I can win or go even against Viktor as Malzahar, since Malzahar has about the same range as Viktor and both have equally powerful waveclear. Malzahar trades having a lot more AoE damage for being a better duelist and tank buster.
