Swain's overloaded kit

You know what really grinds my gears?

When it seems pointless to own support champs while champs like Swain come in and drop ridiculously overloaded kits that are designed for solo lane sustain.

It seems practically impossible to keep this guy off the ADC because his sutain is so high you can't really punish his health or mana, and wtf is the range on his W?

A Passive CC that grants sustain?

Support is taken like a joke with champs like Swain. And it's not like permaban is an option with these other nukes running around.. Ziggs bombing turrets as support.. Lux.. just being Lux..

Zigg's kit is literally 4 skillshots they should be rewarded if they're actually able to hit them lol Swain also is limited to hitting E Q then not being a champion, a 20% HP jinx at level 5 can beat a 100% HP swain if they dodge E

Swain is fine, both solo lane and support. And ziggs support is literally trolling bc every other poke mage does it better

Swain's kit is fine.

Ziggs and Lux support are currently terrible and around the 45% wr mark lmao.

I'd love if they could just revert Swain or get him back into a solo lane like he should be, but his kit isn't anywhere near overloaded. All of his skills generally do only one thing and have only one use, and the only aspect out of the norm is his passive, which, as a support, will not be getting use unless he hits E or a cc jungler ganks.

Sometimes taking Ignite is a good thing as a support. It's not so much about kill stealing as it is denying an enemy from healing. Try it out sometime.

Swain is not fine in a solo lane. Assassins, which were supposed to be the champions he excels at putting down are no longer viable targets, since his E is very dodgeable due to their mobility, and you practically have to drop your W down before the E goes off, placing you in a position where you're gambling on your E's success to proc your passive. It works better on mages now, by sending your E out the moment they cast, which is great and all, but once you activate you're ult, wait a minute, they're ranged, but you want to get in their face, all they have to do is flash, or snare you and they're gone.

Swain's kit is only useful top lane, which is sub-optimal, since if he gets meleed he's going to lose, meaning he's only effective against immobile juggernauts like Darius, Mord, Singed, Sion, Garen, etc, leading to nerfs. Bot lane is his only effective lane since he has a higher chance of landing his E on a target, as well as the fact that since there are six bushes surrounding bot lane (tri-bushes, three on the alcove, and river), and he's closer to drake pit so he can use it to spot the jungler more easily.

His E is a very telegraphed skillshot, and is pretty much the only way for him to reliably get sustain procs from pulling people in — his W has one of the biggest delays between casting and actual impact of any basic ability in the game. Ignite screws his regen for all-ins. If he misses his E, he's completely useless and can be punished. If your lane partner can't manage to figure out how to dodge the claw, there's about a 90% chance they'd be dying even harder to any hook-based champion, unfortunately.

Also Ziggs support is ultra-niche, and Lux support still performs terribly even after the buff this patch.

What he needs is an actual cooldown on his passive pull because that shit is wack.
