I think it is time to ban afk players for good

Don't tell me Riot does anything against afk players when I cannot play a single ARAM game without having at least one afk on my team. Irrespective of the game mode, afk players ruin the game. They are worse than toxic players since you can mute toxic but you cannot do anything against afk. When I have a little time to play 1 or 2 games, I want to enjoy myself in the meantime. However, I cannot because afk players destroy my fun and waste my time. No, even ARAM isn't fun when you have to 3v5, 4v5 in every game. What is their retribution? They cannot play again for 15 minutes or something? What a joke. I don't mind if I have to wait more in queue for a real game, just do something against these garbage people.

(I am not talking about disconnected players with isp or server issues, I am talking about those guys who are connected and afk)

It is really not that difficult to penalize these people. Just give them more and more serious punishment for being afk then ban in the end. Or let us decide who we want to play with. E.g. if I mark a player for being afk I shouldn't get that player again or something.

Considering its demonstrable that Riots client has a diceroll mechanic to crash the client and not allow players to re-connect to promotional matches, ima have to give this a hard no.

I mean if they stop pretending they dont force lose promotional games, and stop doing that all together, sure, ban the AFKs. But as for right now, if you have an AFK. Look to see if anyone on your team is in their promos. If someone is in their promos, dont report the AFK guy. Its Riot, not him. Odds are hes raging at his PC trying to reconnect, but it wont let him reconnect(even tho hes clearly has a solid connection). Because Riot intended for the player in their promotional matches to lose and has locked your teammate/and/or yourself from connecting to the match.

the afk system is fine, it's you, the community, who make it unworkable by not simply ff'ing when there's an afk.
