He is pretty bad from mid plat through diamond. He is easily kited out by competent player, he can't get as many stacks because you can't start with 15% CDR like last season, and by the time you spike the ADC is already relatively strong.

Nasus is bullied in lane, denied CS, and is expected to scale into the mid game and be relevant. Right now, his power spike is weaker AND games are ending quicker so by the time he scales champions usually can deal with him.

His win rate has been dropping the whole season with each patch due to indirect nerfs. He was pretty good in preseason and then runes were nerfed or changed, then they introduced conquerer (making his laning harder) and the starting HP was lowered on the rune combos that he took.

In general, laning is now much harder and the reward for stacking isn't as high since ADCs get too strong too fast to kill him.

He has gone from a 52-53% win rate to about 47% in plat or higher. He is probably fine in Gold or lower but he gets really difficult to play the higher you go.

Unrelated but a of the higher elo Nasus mains stopped playing him completely this season. They either switched champions or stopped playing until he is buffed.

If wither is nerfed Nasus would literally be the most useless champion in the game.

It is his main dueling power advantage, otherwise he would lose to nearly ever duelist.

Its also his only means to gap close. I get kited out all the time in higher elo because all the players stay out of wither range or use their dashes to escape my range after being withered.
