Why nerfing Boots of Swiftness is bad for balance

Riot's stated purpose for reducing the bonus movement speed on Boots of Swiftness from 60 to 55 is to help other boots be chosen more frequently, and thanks in part to buffs on a couple of other boots (Ninja Tabi and Berserker's Greaves) that seems likely to happen. However, nerfing Boots of Swiftness will have the unintended consequence of making champs with blinks and dashes that much more valuable. Speaking as someone who absolutely loves champ diversity to the extent that I refuse to specialize in a small number of champions and will forever be a Silver Scrub because of it, this is frustrating. I would much rather have seen the bonus movement speed on all of the other tier 2 boots increased by 5 to slightly reduce the impact of dashes and blinks, which are hardly underpowered and tend to belong to higher tiered champions (Nidalee, Lucian, etc.)

tl;dr: Don't nerf Swifties. Buff the speed of other boots instead.
