What you should know before playing Draft Mode

I've recently started playing draft mode (unranked) because I like the idea that I can be assigned any position and also counter-pick at times. It is one of the many features of League I really like.

However, I've noticed very many people in Draft mode saying "I can only mid or top" or "I can't adc / supp" etc.. While I respect their courage to try draft mode with being able to play only two of the five lanes, I don't respect their decision to choose draft mode altogether.

For me, draft mode has been one of the many features that has improved my gameplay not because I play the same champion over and over again, but instead I get exposed to many positions, both while choosing a lane (filling) and while counter picking.

To further discuss, there are honest people who state "mid pref" or "top pref" and I completely respect that. I have been in positions where I am the last to pick and first to pick too and the "preference statement" gives me a clue as to where everyone would like to be. These people are better than those who state "i can only adc" or "I can only mid"

As a result, this long post (you may call it a rant), is to display how stupid you people look when you say "I can only mid". If you wanna play a mid position, please select team builder and not draft mode. The purpose of this draft mode is to decide as a team which champions to ban, which positions to play and create a team composition that you wouldn't normally have a choice in team builder unless playing with friends. It is not for you to try out new champions unless the other four people you are playing with are your friends.

In conclusion, I would ask all those people who try draft mode with the ability to play only 2 or 3 lanes to go back to team builder and learn at least a champion if not 2 for each lane (I am noting jungle as a lane also). It will only be extremely helpful to you and the community. Some may argue if other 4 can fill, why can't the guy who can only play adc get his adc: well to that I say it depends on where that only adc guy is in the queue of 5. If he has the first pick, by all means, pick adc, but if he is last, he must respect and play whatever lane is left.

TL;DR: Message to all players who try draft mode to be adequate in each lane with at least 1-2 champions, so they may not interrupt the purpose of draft-mode.
