My best friend has a non partnered isp, and is in the military stationed on the west coast. He is Diamond 5, just getting it 2 nights ago. He now gets 130 ping...and will likely quit or rarely play.

Where as I being east coast used to get 120 ping before riot did the partnerships and brought me down to 80. Going from 120 to 80 was HUGE, so I understand some people that before this move were stuck up there. Then with the move to Chicago I get 28 ping. The thing is, I thought it would change a lot going from 80-30. But other than a few minor things I can't even tell. What I'm getting at is I can no longer play LoL with my friend who I have been playing since beta with. We've been playing together for almost 6 years and now I am probably going to be solo.

So while I am happy for everyone and their ping, even I am a little happy about getting to see what playing on west coast must have been like. It should be known there were casualties with this move, and while pings averaged out over the country a lot more...some people were left behind.

The biggest non-partnered ISPs will join eventually (estimated a few more weeks). If it's not on Riot's list at all, he can contact his ISP directly to ask for them to peer with Riot.

I commend you on getting plat with 120 ping... o_o I know what that ping feels like... RIP Your buddy.

But it's been a while sense I did Ranked.. and I haven't experienced any LP decay (Then again im in bronze..).. Maybe your friend can just ride out the rest of the season in diamond hopefully? Get that season reward.

130 ping oh boy. It like I'm playing at college all over again. I average 100 at home and 130 at college. It honestly was not that bad to have your ping doubled.

If your friend quits over gaining ping close to my old levels (which honestly not that bad, but more of pathetic compared to most games I play).

I'm sorry, but this annoys me. BRING ON THE DOWNVOTES, I'M RANTING FOR A BIT. OK so, I'm not gonna hide anything. I live less than an hour from Chicago and this has made me go from barely noticeable lag to no lag at all, ever. Before the move there were people playing with ~120-150 ping. NOW different people have been playing with ~120-150 ping (And likely these people are more uncommon, otherwise Rito wouldn't be doing the move.) To the people who quit because of this: We honestly don't care. Several players have kept playing with this ping, and if you don't have the same type of dedication to play through that, adios! Overall, this is better. If it wasn't, Rito wouldn't have gone through with the move. I don't care what all of you think of Rito as a company, they're not that stupid. While I get it's frustrating and peeps are going to be all, 'We shouldn't have to, Rito should have paradise where everyone gets 20 ping!', it can't be perfect. Please just grin and bear it, because several other people have, and Rito is doing everything they can to make it better for everyone. Most of the people with high ping have ISPs that aren't partnered, it seems, and Rito is working on this. While it likely won't be 100% perfect for everyone, please realize that if you have high ping and can't really do anything about it, you're merely like one of the people before the move. Go ahead and message Rito about it to try and get them to work towards getting better ping (though they've prob heard thousands of similar reports), but don't post it on boards for all of you with bad ping to circlejerk. It's annoying.
