Should Riot remove flash?

I don't guess I'm particularly bothered by having flash as a SS, but it just seems like it gets taken so frequently, it makes things a bit more boring. Maybe the answer is getting more interesting SS's outside of flash to compete with it, or maybe it's getting rid of the thing.

Mostly just curious what opinions people have on flash as a SS, and how you would feel about its removal.

The problem is that a lot of gameplay basics in League of Legends are about the use of Flash. Well, I think that Flash could be removed for the sake of the game, when Riot updates and adapts old champions to the new meta. There are a lot of champions whose mobility doesn't make any sense (Hello, Tristana), there is a lot of work to do yet.

I'd like to see one day Flash removed, and a massive balance of the overall mobility of the champions too.

Ashe Annie Darius Lux Malzahar Urgot Veigar etc. -and you want to take away their one & only mobility move.

no. the game is balanced around it and at this point it would be too devastating to champions that depend on it. someone like annie would become completely worthless without flash and mobile champions like lee sin would all be much more powerful when they can dance around the battlefield with ease while everyone else is stuck where they are. There are currently a few instances where ghost is taken over flash (generally really aggressive sustained damage dealers like tryndamere or hecarim) but I do think ghost could use a little extra help so a couple more of these instances would pop up. perhaps a tenacity or slow reduction effect, or an additional speed boost when attacking an enemy to cement it as the all-in aggressive alternative.

A lot of champions don't have any other option to escape besides flash. Flash improves the game through making it so we can make some sweet plays or so it increases our survivability.

I agree.

With the new items and versatility of the smite spell i have a hard time picking anything but smite/flash for every game unless it's smite/ignite or smite/exhaust.
