MORDEKAISER???

Mordekaiser was one of my favorite champions and I was hesitant on the changes. They turned him into a weird duo laner and I dont know if I like that. He is not ranged and has literally no cc so the role of adc or support doesnt fit very well, but if you try to put him into a solo lane, his w is literally useless, so he doesnt get an ability and the rest of his kit is lacking when fighting the enemy laner. His e is still his e but his q also used to do ridiculous amounts of damage which they changed so it only really did anything on the third auto. Mordekaiser shouldn't be building attack speed unless hes an adc but once again he is a melee champion and can be kited far too easily by other ranged champions so getting a third auto off is generally impossible. Its almost like parts of his kit is contradicting the other parts of his kit. There is always that one idea that maybe riot is trying to change up the meta but at the same time, ranged adcs are the best classes in the game damage wise late game and thats why they have been meta for a very long time. If riot was trying to change the meta, they wouldn't make a champion so weak (like mordekaiser in a duo lane). Is mordekaiser just bad now? Or am I missing something?
