With news items Lissandra seems weaker next to other mages than before, she is really in a bad spot. Yes maybe we need wait more but she needs a buff /small rework since longtime now... Why a battle mage like Lissandra only has 325 move speed and less max HP than Lux at lvl 18?...
Y'know... I kinda forget Lissandra exists until people remind me... it would be nice to see her more.

I've reached 400k on Lissandra but she's really bad right now. I still do fine with her because that's how it is if you main a champion. But I feel like I would do much better if I had another main.
Liss is basically unplayable right now. Her damage is non-existant. She's never a threat. Her CC is good as always, but does nothing when she's not capable of even remotely dealing at least SOME damage. Her passive is trash as well, and her builds are trash. She's overnerfed thanks to competitive.

Just don't play her. She's trash. Rito was going to make changes to her last season and somehow ended up forgetting about it completely. She's in a really odd position. She's suppose to be somewhat tanky (but she's not), and please don't get me started on her abilities (her abilities may as well just heal the enemy champion). Overall, she's been irrelevant for the longest time. For a champion who has such a cool lore, a persona of a wicked ice witch, she really just hits like a snowflake (and is squishy as one too!). GJ Riot.
Also, that passive of hers, that's some irrelevant flop assery. Riot literally took lissandra's passive and put it on a rune. Like, seriously, girl? Why not just make her passive be something like, "Every time Lissandra uses an ability, half her health is drained. Also, she takes double damage from enemy champions. Yes GAWD." Ugh, buff the ice witch or rework her somehow. Make her relevant again. Jesus christ.
And also, would Riot be nice enough to release a nice skin for her? Like, yeah, I get it, her particles are hard to work with. But seriously, her last skin was two years ago and it looks like garbage. You guys barely put any effort into her particles (specifically the ice molecules etc.,). Program Lissandra looks ugly, dull, and half-assed. You guys just wanted to release a skin for her and were lazy to put in the effort to make it look decent.
Honestly, all the fan art that's been released for Lissandra, why not take some of that into consideration and make a nice skin for her?
tldr; REWORK or BUFF her damage. Toplane soraka is more of a threat than her. Ice Witch my ass, more like "Lissandra: The melting popsicle stick."
I am a liss main, have 450k mastery on her, mained her to get to Platinum for the first time in season 6 and have given up on playing her in ranked this season because nearly anyone else that matters in mid can do her job better. You have to work twice as hard to get the job done with lissandra as you do with other champions.

she needs a passive not a buff.a buff will make her broken just look her kit poke q cc w engage or escape on her e and her ult either stuns the enemy or gives her a zonya 2.0 if u buff a kit like that she will be a god just give her a proper passive.
Not really its just that the evolution of damage dealers naturally out classes her due to everyone getting more damage with their cc and lower cooldown mobility that also does more damage. her kit is more out of date that volibear or udyr just because she doesnt get massive range with massive damage (she actually had to pay for her big damage and utility with low ranged spells and high cooldowns at least early game) while people still want to play her only as a mage. when other champions that had problems surviving to do damage switched to tank for their cc for some periods of time. like fiddle sticks. then riot put them on prority buff / nerf list because ranged/ mobile tanks mean that ranged carries are in trouble .
It's not just the new items she kind of been needed a buff, her gameplay in general feels a tad clunky. Her damage is sooo slow too a lot of champs can get away from her. She's basically more useful as a walking CC machine than a damage dealer but other champions can replace her as a CC machine mid like 
Her passive harms her too, her spells cost sooo much mana (except her W ) just because she has that passive. What's the point of having a mana passive it's you're still forced to build mana sustain? [sg-lux-2]
Riot just keeps blabbing about making a new Liss passive, yet no work is done. Gonna expect it to come in Season 9 I guess.
On ARAM I've had great success playing her as a Tank, rather than as a type of mage. It hasn't worked out on SR because she doesn't have the base damage to lane with a tank build, but I'm excited to give that a new try with the reworked items. I know the teamfighting power is there, it just needs to be reached.

I think her passive should be buffed.
Passive- Refunds mana. Doubles the damage of Q or W grants Frozen Armor(20/20 Armor/MR, 40/40, 60/60@18 or Can E out of CC(Say youget stunned while your glacial is going outwards, having her passive up would allow you to teleport anyways.). or Extends the duration of R, by 1sec.
Something like that.
They are looking at her passive as well as her damage for patch 8.6

Maybe because her items usually include RoA, Seraph's and in some way, Liandry that all give HP as well as AP? Lissandra isn't a mage that you'd play with squishiness in mind. Her range and delay really doesn't allow her to play aggressively as then she's left without a way out of the situation.
I am in no way justifying that she is underpowered for quite a while (and in need of a new passive) but the lack of HP isn't really the issue here. Lissandra can heal herself with her ult as well and Zhonya and self-cast on her ult give her a lot of durability too.

About this particular question, the answer is pretty simple: she is a Ranged champion that has a lot of CC and also a Mobility tool.
Champions that have lots of CC are generally less durable and less mobile, because CC makes them indirectly Tankier and allows them to keep up with people.
High amounts of CC combined with Mobility results in powerful engages, and the only counterplay to these tactics is positioning. By making the engager have low Map-Mobility, they make it easier for the opponents to position.
Moreover, she is a ranged champion, that leads directly lower stats everywhere, including MS and Health.
And I think Meddler said something about changing her passive, but he didn't mention when he thinks it would be finished.
She needs a rework or she'll become another malzahar.
Buff her kit and she'll feel terrible to play against since she has everything, mobility, cc, safety, waveclear. She can always hold her lane

i Love playing lissandra but she just way 2 much weak to enjoy playing her(unless u main her).
What she really needs is a new passive and better damage or reduced mana cost on her kit.
She's gimped because of her passive's power budget and it needs to be removed for something better to at least make her playable.
I'm sure other Lissandra mains will agree with me.(even though it's kinda non-existent)
i pulled her out in a ranked game, her laning seems god awful, but her team fighting seems really good with the new items, getting a lot of pen then liandrys feels amazing on her.
