Kill/assist XP for junglers

Maybe im just too bad of a player, but recantly I feel like ganking as a jungler is not rewarding enough. Even if lvl3-lvl5 ganks are succesfull, I often find myself behind the enemy jungler who is just afk farming. The little advantages my lanes get from my early game ganks never seem to compensate for that. Its almost impossible to catch up in xp as jungler once you are behind, and ganking seems to always gets you behind. Especially on champs like lee who have a pretty terrible clear time.

So what do you guys think is the optimal thing to do as jungler right now? Should I just not gank as much? Maybe just 1 gank pre 6? Just play high speed clear champ like shyv? Tax more? (this is no joke! taxing seems to be the only way to stay relevant in lvl when ganking early) Any other suggestions?

Ganking feels less rewarding because of the changes to catch up xp. You get way less than you used to, this is why many people prefer playing powerfarm junglers right now (probably to reduce snowballing) . It may feel less rewarding, but I still think ganking is the right way to play, getting your team mates ahead ^_^ you will get used to it!

If you gank and the enemy gets away take a few minions as compensation. Is the gank succesfull take minions to help push the lane.
