Ahri post-6.2

I like Ahri. She's fun, bursty, occasionally explosive, and squishy enough that she requires thoughtful choices in terms of zoning. I liked her even after the much-dreaded changes nerfing her W and R. I'm even fine with getting rid of DFG; it's my core Ahri item, but I can deal with it (Morello's looks pretty good). But after getting rid of the mini-DFG on her E, Ahri doesn't feel like she does damage anymore.

I understand that the balance team wants to emphasize her mobility, but the movespeed on Q is way too transient to feel meaningful. It helps you arc your Q's a little bit, which is nice, but not really engage/disengage in a more flexible way, which is the kind of thing you'd want to emphasize. She still plays like the same old Ahri - slow and plodding when her ult is down.

Moving damage from the E magic damage boost to W and and E base damage also doesn't even remotely make up for the double whammy of losing DFG and E damage boost. The real secret to Ahri's kit since the previous big changes was the boost to the true damage of Q, which gave her just a little more burst than you'd think to look at her and the ability to take a big bite out of bruisers. Without that, her full burst combo feels lackluster compared not just to other assassins but even sustainy mages and ADCs. And she's still squishy, slow when her ult is down, and generally meh.

I can understand making Ahri more mobile at the expense of max burst but she a. isn't really more mobile and b. that trade only works up until a certain point, which she has crossed, because being able to run away really well is not a playstyle. Assassins shouldn't be overwhelming but they're also useless without damage. I'll be steering clear of Ahri until she gets some power moved back into her kit.
