ironically i can't play ranked with my friends anymore because of dynamic queue.
riot pushing playing with friends so much, not taking into account that my friends are bronze.
rip my old ranked team.
Because there is Dynamic Queue. Riot wanted to go different route.
Because if rito had kept ranked 5s and SoloQ, nobody would play their beloved dynamicQ. It's as simple as that.
It was a terrible system though. For starters, the 5 games in a row requirement made it basically impossible for a group of friends working on slightly different schedules to be even able of ranking, I mean, who had the brilliant idea of forcing a whole 5 man premade to play 5 whole games in a row? that completely reduces the target population to kids, lazy students or the like.
The worst part is we once pulled an all nighter after work to do that shit, only to face the most absurd MMR ever, this is because no one played 5v5 (see, draconian 5game restriction) and the MMR was completely independent from each players ranked MMR.
Would been cool to have a DQ, and a solo que where you can not que up with anyone. Imagine a ranked system where no one could get boosted! that sounds great to me.
Because the match making was terrible and often times you would get vastly different teams in terms off MMR. Also very little people actually played which made it even worse, so they decided to pull it.
cos you could find a 4 bronze and 1 diamond team... that was unbalanced...
Apparently it didn't see much use last season...... Because a couple small changes would have fixed it..... Anyway, it also would have taken away from the disgusting narrative DQ is trying to portray. Hopefully they revert the systems next season. This would likely work due to larger groups forming throughout the community. Groups of 3-4 players who would only need to acquire 1 or 2 other players to play it.
It's interesting to see how some posts get traction and some don't. I've posted two very similar threads in the past and they've got little to no response....
Oh well, I'm glad this topic is getting publicity now. Bring back ranked 5v5s Riot!!

Too small and too similar to dynamicQ. Whether you agree with the decision or not, it's almost certainly these reasons.
