Azir nerfs are insulting
Azir was released as a train-wreck. Every skill had several bugs, some of which lasted several patches, and a certain few are STILL unfixed. His first week ended with a miserable 34% win rate. He's had a total of 21 bug fixes since his release, and more bugs are still popping up weekly.
But in 5.2 he was FINALLY in a playable state. After the Q behavior changes, there were no glaringly clunky mechanics in his kit. He was fun to play, took practice to perform well, and the player is rewarded for it. He had definite high moments, matched by glaring weaknesses to assassins and CC. His win rate climbed to a slightly sub-par 47% across all levels of play, and he's had a smattering of LCS performances and fails alike.
And then 5.3 happens. With statistically sub-par performances, GC decides to gut the bird. HARD. Azir's win-rate made its best Olaf impression, and tanked to a pitiful 38%. After several patches where his abilities were literally broken, after LCS showed that while he can have good performances, he also has glaring weaknesses, and while he was statistically under-performing across all levels of play, Rito decides to take a giant dump on the Sand Emperor. What a joke.
