How is this fair at all? I've lost the last 5 games in a row because of these types of match ups... Loser bracket?

Leagues have nothing to do with matchmaking.
All players in your game (except duos) have roughly the same MMR. Silvers with high MMR will sometimes face against low MMR Plat V players.
Not entirely sure what you're upset about. Silver 1 is a hair away from gold, just like plat 5. That said, its also a Plat Soraka, I love my gurl raka, but Its not like she's going to 1v5 nuke your ass from orbit. Everyone else in the game is relatively close to you're mmr, so I'd say its about what it should be.

I played urf almost entirely as it was out and 9/10 games I'D BE THE ONLY ONE WHO UPGRADED MY TRINKET. Let alone if we were verse a wu or a shaco I'd still be the only one whod buy the red and upgrade it. The best part is when you ask them "why in the fuck am I the only one whose upgraded my trinket????" your reported for "neg attitude". Had an ashe go "I don't care about no trinkets lol" I responded with "and you wonder why your in bronze" got reported by 3 people. I'm already chat restricted and have to use my few messages EVERY GAME on the SAME SHIT. I don't understand how people can't get the hint of warding. RIot gave us a free ward trinket, they released videos on how important warding and pining is yet no one even responds to them. Every match when were in the pregame lobby I say the same message: I'm chat restricted so listen to pings pls I don't ping for no reason they there for a reason or Pls team @ lv 9 PLS upgrade trinkets, stop wasting bans on shaco when @ lv 9 he becomes useless by red trinket every 15 seconds. I don't understand why I have to tell my team this shit they should have already realized by being lv 30. This is the type of crap that pisses me off to where I can't deal and tell people off. Yea I start "nice and encouraging" but that dosn't work. Not once in my entire league career have I told someone "hey ashe don't build hurricane, build pd or shiv because of your crit chance" and they havn't told me i'm a noob or a retard. I have like 10 messages a game and i'm not gunna waste them by asking noobs to not ignore "RECOMMENDED" items. I ask my team if they eve read their champions skills or read wtf items even do and im just "muted" and then reported post game. back to the trinket comment, sometimes I'll ask the question "why in the fuck am i the only whose upgraded my trinket??" only to be responded with "report so and so, so toxic" in all chat. I respond "TOXIC?? because i'm asking questions that SHOULD BE COMMON SENSE???" only to be called salty or even more toxic. I feel bad for this community for when they have to go to the real world and mommy ain't there to protect them.
I just felt that three silver 1's vs three gold 3's was a little unfair. Not sure that MMR means everything.
That plat built like a dingus. Finishing frost queen's anything other than as a last item? Building 45% cdr when she already should have had at minimum 5% (really 10%)? Also didn't ward enough.

If you are in silver you should be matched against silvers regardless of MMR if you are in plat you should be matched with plats.
Of i wad bronze but my mmr was gold, i would never get out of bronze if i was matched with golds. I mane it makes no sense.
Or a plat with silver MMR matched with silvers, will never leave plat cause they fight silvers...
Cant tell you how much a silver 1 is better than a gold 5. It is fair. Stop getting color anxiety.
I lost 8 or my 10 provisional games simply because the enemy team was mechanically better in every other lane (somehow I got bronze 1). Every game except for the ones I won my teammates fed really hard. I myself didn't play super well or super poorly. I didn't feed or get fed.
