Understanding Duo Queue Ranked
Just so I understand. When two people queue up together in ranked they increase the enemy team's MMR. Based on this concept it's expected that your lanes will lose 1v1. The assumption is that the people who queued up together have some sort of advantage. What if they don't?
Why should the solo queue player have to pay the price for a duo queue team who isn't prepared to carry vs higher MMR players and push their "team advantage"?
I am frankly tired of either destroying the enemy team or watching my team get destroyed because of this dynamic. I would just like to play even matched GOOD FUN games, but they aren't fun when it's an obvious landslide victory one way or the other.
Also when a duo queue team fails, the entire team gets outplayed and the morale becomes really toxic. The players turn on each other because they are all getting outplayed by an enemy team of higher MMR.
I believe duo queue creates a toxic atmosphere and a flip / flop type of game play. I don't see many Good Games anymore, just this crush or be crushed concept.
- Does anyone else feel this way?
- Is it possible to remove duo queue from ranked play?
- A checkbox to state if you are okay or not okay to be matched up with a duo queue team?
