ATTN! @RIOTREPETOIR, ABOUT QUINN: Is blind a necessary part of Quinn's kit? & more questions.

Blind has been said to be, in essence, hard to balance. As a Quinn main, I've seen just how effective that 1.5s blind can be, winning 2v1 fights and soundly thrashing the enemy ADC. I've also seen how worthless it can be, considering all the on-hit effects that still activate.

My questions to you, as you are overseeing the Quinn'rework':

1. Does Quinn necessarily need a blind? Could you test out changing the blind into vision radius reduction, ala Graves ? The Blind portion of Q tends to either be extremely useful or completely useless in fights, depending mostly on how fed Quinn is. This would preserve the spirit of the spell while also increasing its reliability as a utility meant to poke, disengage, or all-in, as it would be very effective on all champions, instead of being a niche spell for dueling AA-ers.

**2. How much of a partner will Valor be? ** There is a chance, with the rework of Quinn , to do justice to the traditional 'ranger' fantasy that hasn't quite been delivered with the current iteration of her. Giving Valor more of a role, perhaps making him into a permanent pet, would assist with this!

**3. If Valor is given the chance to be a more permanent pet... ** ... Can Quinn's's resource bar, instead become Valor's health bar (or something relating to Valor)? MvC-style! I mean, her ultimate /is/ called Tag-Team, and most of her abilities rely on Valor. Having a second health bar (or a pet resource bar) would further differentiate Quinn from other marksmen, bringing something new to the table, while also helping with the difficulties Quinn has when attempting to assassinate an enemy champion.

Valor could work off an on-hit system, similar to item 2044 or Zyra plants, and charged when spells land, similar to Rengar Ferocity or Renekton Fury.

Continuing from the idea from 1., I have a proposition for a changed Blinding Assault.

Valor would appear on the battlefield when casting Blinding Assault.

He would stick to the first champion hit (like Lulu Pix) and greatly reduce their field of vision, such that that player can not see more than their own champion and Valor himself. If Valor should deal damage, then it should be dealt over time, so as to make this spell less oppressive.

Valor would dynamically circle around the champion affected, and would only leave when X seconds has passed, if he has been hit X amount of times (other champions can attack him), or when called back to Quinn (via a different spell; perhaps W?).

This preserves the identity of the spell as it essentially helps Quinn mitigate the damage of a few autoattacks.

**4. Does Quinn /need/ the AOE? ** Honestly, Skystrike and Blinding Assault both feel underwhelming, and I'll assume that's because the extra power that could go into those abilities has been diverted into making them area-of-effect spells.

But Quinn isn't going to be clearing minion waves like most other marksmen; using Blinding Assault to effectively help clear minion waves often requires tanking a wave as it crowds around you. In late-game, it can be used to kill three caster or melee minions, but generally you do have to auto the rest to finish them off.

Additionally, ideally, Skystrike is used to execute or bring to low health multiple enemy champions, but that rarely happens, so generally the power budgeted to Skystrike being AOE is wasted.

I don't think that Quinn /needs/ AOE, necessarily. It has never been part of her core identity (Blind in teamfights is almost never as useful as you think it would be), and I think she should lose the ability to clear waves faster, in return for stronger dueling power.

**5. How much of a role will Quinn play while Valor is being controlled? ** Right now, Valor's abilities aren't that much different than Quinn 's. Now that she's being looked at, there should be effort put into differentiating the two characters, as well as showing their teamwork (assuming that Riot will keep Tag-Team); Quinn doesn't do ANYTHING while Valor is on the field except for Skystrike, while Valor is used in Quinn 's passive, Q, W and R.

Why not have Valor use an alternate version of Quinn 's passive?

**6. How will Vault be preserved? ** Currently Vault is only a decent dueling and burst damage utility. If Quinn is to become a strong ADC, she needs an escape that doesn't require jumping back into the enemies' faces, especially when it doesn't help against Volibear flings Singed , Annie stuns and other displacements Yasuo , etc. or when it bugs out and Quinn doesn't bounce back (q.q) .

The other option is to buff Vault such that Quinn won't be as vulnerable during this period, but it could probably be heavily abused in top lane (working off the assumption that Riot wishes for Quinn to be, primarily, an ADC).

Instead of Vault needing a target to bounce off against, why not change the way it works? Quinn could use Valor to mark a target with Harrier. If she procs that Harrier passive, Quinn gains the ability to jump X units. If she lands on an enemy, she marks it with Harrier, prioritizing champions.

Alternatively, Quinn 's E could be her Harrier passive, and it could be used to jump, expending a charge of Vault, whenever she procs Harrier (similar to Kassadin Force Pulse). There would be a low maximum amount of charges - 1 or 2.

This would gate her escapes behind being able to proc Harrier, which would encourage skirmishing, which is what Quinn does; Harrier doesn't come up very often (considering some teamfights can be decided in a matter of seconds), and Quinn is only able to reliably proc Harrier once.

It also prevents Quinn from becoming Vayne** THE DIE IS CAST**Vayne , because she MUST engage in combat with an escape system that uses charges, which would limit her ability to kite (hellloooooo Vayne, Kalista , Lucian) or simply run away (like Ezreal , Tristana).

7. Can we get more banter between Quinn and Valor? Like, can the VA return to voice over more lines? Dialogue between Quinn and Valor would just be really fun to hear. For example, if Quinn initiates a vault onto an enemy champion she could say, "Valor, I'm going in!" Upon vaulting successfully, consuming the Harrier proc: "Nice job!"

Thanks for reading through all of this, if you did. \o/

1st point: Yes, she does. The blind is basically what defines her and what makes her one of the best, if not the best duelists in the game

3rd point: No, that's just a horrible idea and ruins Quinn's identity.

4th point: Yes, she does. She has short range, and so her number one ability is granted an AoE, just as Sivir's spells are also AoE type

6th point: Vault is perfectly fine, and I wouldn't want it changed at all except for bug fixes. Stop trying to make it into a generic dash/jump spell
