Nemesis Draft is like the lcs
Same bans, Same picks, boring as hell
Same bans, Same picks, boring as hell
why are you comparing it to the lcs? Also LCS players ban with purpose. It looks boring because they stick to an actual strategy
Everybody else has a banning strategy too. Ban what the pros ban.
Lol- I've seen plenty of low Elo Azirs, Kalistas, nidalees get picked. It's kinda funny to watch
Well IMO no.
I'd like to see people giving the team utility supports with no damage xD
No, a high utility team of supports can cause major lockdown.
If you want to screw a team over with stuff, give them all marksmen with low utility/mobility. They cant form a front line, its unlikely they will peel for each other, and they will be squishy/immobile, and dont expect them to initiate.
The other option is to give them all melee champs, and poke them relentlessly.
Well yeah, but that's if you get the tools to poke them down. A full support team can't take objectives nor deal goo damage.
Only if they all build like supports, which they probably won't.
My adc janna game is strong, and most other ranged 'supports' can be built similarly. AS braum stun locks people and kills them before they can even react, and so on.
I guess yeah, but that's if you can manage to get past the early game really.
On the basis of the opposing team likely also has less-than-ideal champs, getting past early game is not that bad, since almost everyone else is in the same boat (although theres usually someone playing a meta champ in a meta role wondering what everyone elses problem is).
Really pretty much any ranged champ can be built and played as an AA based adc, and they'll be nearly as effective as a conventional AA focused adc, since the majority of their power comes from their items rather than abilities.
In a similar vein, (and as was rather problematic for awhile on a number of assassins) anyone can build like a tank and be pretty effective as a tank, even if you'd think they're a squishy mage/marksman.
There are very few truly unworkable comps in theory, it's just in practice people don't work as a team and adapt their builds/playstyles to make things work, and instead everyone just focuses on what is appropriate for their particular champion regardless of the role they should be playing (or occasionally they do adapt their builds, but their playstyle is still that of a conventional build, which usually gets them in hot water [protip: ap ali makes a poor tank]).
I guess yeah, it's just about your teamcomp counters theirs, and how they play out the game.
That's not true. Pro's don't dodge if they don't get the exact champ they want which results in the waste of 10 minutes for 9 people.
