The Tank Meta and Assassins

I believe the title is self-explanatory in the sense that it begs the question:

What is there to do with the assassin role now? Yes, timing is key, sure.

That doesn't negate the fact that assassins have been nerfed across the board, with newer, tankier, champions falling into the current meta.

Not only that, CC is evermore useful now with such heavy front-line lenient fights...

Now, I don't want this thread to be another bitch&moan spree about this and that. Let's discuss!

Do assassins need to be rebalanced in this current meta? Perhaps a push in the right direction? Where do assassins still excel yet waver in fights now?

Assassins are still good at what they do, trying to rebalancing them around the new meta will probably be a bad idea. (especially if the Tank meta begins to wane) Cause that would make them too powerful over all.

I say this because the Tankiest part of the Tank meta has some what passed. Sion and Maokai got nerfed, making toplaners like Herc and Rumble More Favorable. (and they can do that, because with Cinderhulk, their not required to be the teams tank anymore) Cinderhulk lost a lot of it's offensive power, so it's not as spamable by just everyone. (particularly top laners)

And the reason I bring this up is if Riot meets their goals of Strategic diversity, then Meta won't have any real bearing on whether a champion or class of champion is strong. Assassins would neither be favored, or frowned a pone.

e-sports and solo que aren't the same thing the meta's are really different

Assassin's will always be the answer to ADC's, even more-so now that low mobility tankbusters are trending.

Players are just a little bit in shock that instead of 100-0'ing any other unit on the map, they can only 100-0 the mid laner or adc or support.

Not being able to to blow up top OR the jungler is scary to them and takes time to adjust.
