why i think voice chat is necessary

i think voice chat in league of legends, at least ranked would be extremely helpful.

in the lower levels of ranked, you get a mix of players. you can get smurfs, casual players, players playing on a second account after they get banned for intentionally feeding, or actual serious players trying to win. you can't assume or pinpoint which of these applies to any given player, but i think it's safe to say that these groups make the majority. once you get to the higher ranks the banned players decrease, the bad play decreases, and overall the mistakes being made by players arent as frequent.

as an adc main, i think it's hard right now to solo carry a game. there are champions that are great for carrying like ashe and sivir, but there's always the top riven that could, or the zzrot banner of command heimer mid. i dont have hard facts, but i'd say about 80% of my games i have one or more person feeding. having that dead weight is excruciatingly hard to carry with. i dont even ask for people playing well. i just want a consistent amount of games where people come out of laning phase neutral, and i think voice comms could greatly help the people who usually feed, not do so.

people feed because they dont know what to do, or theyre intentionally feeding. i'd say people do it accidentally more often than not, so why make a tedious platform like typing, because sometimes for someone to understand something, they need a thorough explanation. how to beat/counter someone, how to play a lane, how to start off a fight, etc. it's impossible to type things in detail in the moment, and people in lower elos do not listen to pings. i can ping the right person to focus 20 times and no one reacts at all. voice chat could also help stop people from tunneling.

looking at games like csgo and overwatch, it would make sense to have voice communication in a highly team oriented game, where typing isnt always possible. it doesnt make much sense to me why league isnt the same way

the lack of voice comms makes it hard to be a cohesive team at lower levels, which is 95% of all players. adding voice comms could easily fix many issues in the game. toxicity existing in voice comms shouldnt be an issue if there's a mute button or a report button, which there is. at the very least, i think it should be an option, so the people who actually care about winning can guide the team to victory more than with just their champion and their champion alone.

typing is distracting and u cant type in the middle of a teamfight to tell someone something this is reason enough for it to be in this game, its 2016 for fucks sake every game has voice chat

looking at games like csgo and overwatch, there is a huge amount of players with badly configured microphones, don't use a headset and you hear every a ton of echo and noise in their house including their junky crap-hop "music", and every time they get a kill they shout in your ear or when they get killed they also crap on your ear drums.

the amount of players who CBA to configure their microphone settings is astounding. when you're on teamspeak or skype you get a reprimand from your friends. when you're on public access voice, you just go "deal with it" and scream static and junky music and your yeehhaaa into the other guy's ear.
