what do i do with this on my team

i was silver 2 before these string of games

im an adc main, i can play others but i get the most joy out of adc and that's what im best at.

queue up, get bot, get ashe, and then later on someone picks heimer mid. ok, not the first time i've seen it. cool, right. then he dies 8 times and despite me being fed, i lose the game, after nearly carrying.

next one, same situation. i get ashe again, and then the top laner for this game is tryndamere. i get fed again, and he feeds a teemo and proceeds to build damage items and dies 16 times before the game's over, and i lose another.

next one, i get tank akali top, and the same thing happens

and most recently, vayne top, whom, you guessed it, feeds and throws the game

i know for a fact my skill isnt being reflected in my rank. there's nothing i can do to effect my teammates behaviors or what they pick. this type of stuff is so consistent you cant even call it unlucky matchmaking anymore. this is just the type of shit you see in this elo. the fact that it's to be expected means there's seriously something wrong with the playerbase. im considering dodging champ selects where i see a champion i dont want to play with. and questioning their pick or what they're doing instantly gets you flamed. riot does nothing to prevent this. and honestly i dont see how you can. maybe create a ranked system where these types of people dont get matched up with serious players. because to be honest, if you make these types of picks in anything but high elo, you obviously have 0 care for anyone on your teams feelings, or the fact that you're wasting 30+ mins of their time just to be an asshole. and the communication at this elo is already bad enough. it's simply impossible

what im wondering is there anything I CAN do to improve on in terms of carrying with such dead weight. is it too much to ask for a team who comes out of the laning phase neutral? why is that too much to ask for? why even play this game if it's never going to be possible to carry when someone doesnt give enough fucks to actually try to win

The system puts a lot of players that belong in Bronze 4 in Silver 2 for some reason when they first start ranked on a new account. The trick to getting passed this is telling yourself there is an equal chance the other team can get a perma bronze scrub on their team too, and try to ignore what happened.

If you fixate on the bad games it will give you a bad attitude over time which will lose more games.

I would like to start off by saying, I know exactly how you feel because I have been there. I have 3 accounts in plat and believe me all of them spent a LONG time in silver at some point.

You have to realize that there will be unlucky games, even strings of unlucky games which may be what you have experienced. There is no way around this....but what you also have to realize is that if you deserve to be in a higher rank, then after playing a certain number of games you will achieve said rank. One of the quickiest ways I've learned this is by my several accounts. Even if I think I'm better than I am, at the end of the day ALL of my accounts are mid-low Plat. I gaurentee you if you started a fresh account and ranked up you would more than likely land in the same spot. The key is focusing on improving. Once you have improved and only then will you surpass where you are.

In terms of what to do in games like those, the best thing you can do it focus on your OWN play and improving. Yes it is a team game and yes you will have some REALLY bad team mates but if you are focusing on them you will not be able to focus on yourself. Focus on yourself, improve your own play, and I promise you will climb :)

I know how you feel man, and as a jungle main, it's hard to do my job when every lane feeds then asks for help at the same time. I was S3 before a string of bad players.
