Olaf vs Lee - The extremes

Lee has enjoyed solid performance over just about his entire existence.

Olaf virtually disappeared and has existed in an arguably unplayable state for a long while now.

Anyone else find it a bit discouraging that typical champions usually enjoy a few months of dominance before the nerf beating? Sure there's a bit of hate on Lee lately, but thinking back he's the one champ I can think of that has been a solid pick (when played decently) since I've been here, never feeling like kha or olaf or pretty much anyone else.

Also, I'm almost regretting not banning him more often in ranked, but then again at low elo it was hit or miss to find lee's with solid mechanics.

i think people are overexgrating olaf's playability, hes far from being the best but hes a pretty good duelist

Kha has never been bad. Every time they nerfed him they buffed something else, so it just took people a moment to change their playstyle. Lee isn't even a solid pick right now anyways.

Lee has a kit that they can work with. So does Kha. Despite how many times they get nerfed it doesn't destroy who they are as a character. Olaf's kit is basically just a bunch of random numbers stacked on top of eachother and his entire identity is "i have more raw stats than you"

Theres a world of difference. Even if Lee is ahead, it is still possible to stop him with some coordination. If Olaf ever got ahead, it was "Welp, so long backline, nice knowing you."

Olaf is incredibly strong against certain comps, mostly because it's impossible to peel him. By himself, his ult, he can force an entire enemy team to choose between turtling for a bit or sacrificing their carries.

I think some of you are missing my main point - I've never seen Lee disappear or fall out of favor like so many other champs.

I remember when brolaf was a regular sight. I can't remember the last time I saw one played in ranked or even co-op.

I mean, I've seen poppy show up more frequently, at least she comes up here and there despite her outdated kit.

Kha was a dominant force for a while till eventually he was changed to a point where you really had to like him to be bothered to make adjustments.

Granted, if it wasn't for scion's re-work, he'd still be just like poppy, one of those old champs you'd see on occasion.
