Adventures in Co-op
Today's Story: Claiming to be silver in Co-op
So a soraka was teaching someone to adc and claimed to be silver, which is odd, as I have NEVER seen someone say their silver in a co-op pre-game chat without being asked first (as if it meant a lot =p)
Loading screen comes, I'm the only one with a border...
From a teaching perspective it seems pretty sad - no emphasis on farm and the only thing that actually seems to be taught is to get dragon. While the game ends without the two in bot lane dying more than once or twice (which is almost surprising but then again it was soraka vs ali bot) it's pretty clear poor lessons if any are being taught.
So post game chat starts with the soraka saying something along the lines of me over doing the kills (30-1-2 or somethin) .
Then she asks why I built GA and no hextech.
I explain politely that extra damage means nothing when dead.
Soraka repeats that hextech would be better for ult.
I then politely explain that the spell vamp isn't worth it in her current state, but that her past kit is was more worthwhile.
Soraka repeats that hextech would be better for ult.
I politely explain that if I wanted to go more offensive that I would have built rylai's but that I wanted the extra armor for turret diving.
Soraka then says I'm not listening to what he/she's saying, says something along the lines of why do I even bother, bye and leaves.
Look player up in recent matches - Bronze 5.
Too bad it wasn't zilean or zyra bot lane.
Moral of the story -
-
Telling people you're silver in a CO-OP when the load screen says otherwise is just plain dumb.
-
People in low bronze would rather lie about their rating and give advice (they don't realize is horrid) instead of listening to what anyone has to say that disagrees. This is why they are so looked down upon by the community.
It's not so much they perform poorly in comparison to the rest of the ladder- it is the sheer fact they can be so arrogant and disregard information that could make them play better.
