How in the world do you lane against this when playing as melee without a gap closer? I was playing Rumble in team builder and got put up against Vayne and it seems like nothing you do works. Try to all in her and play aggressive? She just shoots you back and gets her 3 stacks off on you. Try to play passive and farm? She just walks up and hits you with arrows and tumbles into you to get her stacks off, and she never runs out of mana. I could only get my jungler to gank one time, and it was a successful gank. Of course, since that was the only gank I fell really far behind in CS and became useless late game. The jungler proceeded to call me a shit player and all that jazz.

rumble's q has 600 range, vaynes auto has 550 range. this should be a free lane for rumble. you have a speed boost and a slow, if she is getting close enough to attack you and you arent replying with your q, then you are playing the matchup incorrectly

Vayne top is truly an unbeatable matchup for some top laners. Like, literally nothing you can do without jungler interference. You can't engage on her without taking autos on the way to her, getting E'd back, then taking a few more autos as you run away. I also hate that if played well she can outduel so many tops at level 6.

In this matchup, I'd say take a start that is focused on sustaining like Cloth 5 or flask. However, she's really easy to burst down with your jungler. Also, if they have a Vayne top, they lose out on a tank and other things that top laner brings.

You gotta farm this out under turret or get jungle pressure, if vayne top falls behind she really becomes useless, but otherwise this is a matchup you cant win without being ahead, or having jungle help.

You should be able to all in her since her early game is only strong compared to other ADCs, even with Rumble. But playing a champion with a gap closer helps. If you play a champion with a gap closer in their kit, which many melee champs have, then it's all over for her. Do not play defensively against her when she's weak though. That's just a bad idea, and freeze the wave to zone her each chance you get. Do not allow her to farm under tower, that's the worst thing you can do.

She's really not much of a pain top lane as people make her out to be. I main top lane, and trust and believe, the only ADC you don't want to see in top lane is Quinn. Vayne is overpowered, but she does not work out early in top lane for many match ups unlike Quinn who can actually stop you from going all in on her. This opens you up to endless pokes and zoning.

Rumble should beat Vayne in lane you probably just aren't use to playing solo lane against her.
