@Riot - Context on Tahm Changes?

I've been a Tahm Kench top lane main almost the entire time since his release and these changes just don't make sense to me. Let me preface the discussion by saying that Tahm is already a trash tier top laner and support. I simply enjoy his kit, personality, and appearance so much that I'm willing to gimp myself for it. Kench has one of the lowest winrates across the board so I don't understand the changes. It seems like you're nerfing his damage and forcing him to ramp up this nerfed damage with autos. The shield and ult changes are just strange to me. You typically have no need to cast his shield very often and his ult is fine how it is on live in my opinion. If you go through with these damage nerfs, however, I feel like any shred of viability he has top lane is out the window. The only explanation I can see is that you are trying to force Kench into support instead of retaining the ability to go top lane and even jungle on occassion.

TL;DR: Why are you nerfing his damage when he's already in such a bad spot both top lane and support?

He gets gray health while the shield is off Cooldown. So this gives you more uptime to collect gray health, which in turn keeps you sustained longer.

At current, the cooldown of Thick Skin is 16-12. That means at rank 1, you have a 6 second shield and a 16 second cooldown that begins when you cast it, meaning the shield runs concurrently with the CD. Thus means that: 16 CD - 6s Shield = 10s with no gray HP. At max: 12 CD - 6s Shield = 6s with no gray HP. With the new change: 6 CD - 3s Shield = 3s with no gray HP. At ALL ranks. This isn't even factoring in CDR. At max CDR: Old Max 12 -> 7.2 CD - 6s Shield = 1.2s with no gray HP. New Change: 6 -> 3.6 CD - 3s Shield = .6s with no gray HP.

So as you see, he can have less time with nothing and more time earning that gray HP, which could very well save his skin in the middle of a fight.

They hate him. That's the context.
