In my opinion Illaoi isn't even on the top 5 people i wanna ban. She pretty seems pretty sluggish and has abilities that are easy to dodge or avoid. Also if you think about it there are way more champs 10* more op than her that if released today everyone would be complaining that they're too op. Like If Annie was a new champ that was released today wouldn't she have a %100 ban rate? I give it a few more weeks then people will learn how to play against Illaoi and regret not banning jax instead in all those past games.

She does significantly more damage than most melee champions, and does it in ways that are almost entirely unique to her. It'll take a while for people to have the experience to play against her properly. At the same time people will learn to play as her properly, and we'll start being able to see a more accurate picture of how she's doing.

Personally, I think the increased tentacle attack speed during her ult is a little ridiculous, but then again, if you don't clump up in the first place the amount of slappage she dishes out is significantly decreased.

I don't think she's op, her ult is just so damn rough. If you get caught in the middle... ouch.

Her tentacle hitbox is laughable in terms of summoner 13 . I mean.. I thought that was Riot's whole thing but y'know, Riot.

Her E's debuff lasts a bit too long imo, puts an ENORMOUS amount of pressure on the lane. (Makes it harder to CS, forces you to position yourself in an odd place, even when trying to recall.) Shorten down just a little bit so the 3 tentacles spawn a bit faster over a slightly shorter time.

Idk just my two cents. Feel free to downvote based on opinion. ;P

just because there are more broken champs, dont means illaoi is not OP, right her E might be easy to dodge, but if it does, it becomes more annoying than any CC, and summoner 1 dont remove Vessel status, only item 3140

A good amount of the reason why people ban new champs is so an idiot on their team can't pick them up for the first time in ranked. Not so the opposing team can't pick it.

nasus counters her pretty heavily. he can outsustain poke, while having free stacks from tentacles besides, she is meele. that leaves you with plenty of choices against her

I think she needs a rework. At the top challenger levels, she sucks (everyone dodges skill shots very well), however at the lower levels, she is very antifun (although it can be funny to see someone get killed by a tentacle). Her E lasts a bit too long IMO, and the fact that summoner 1 doesn't remove the E debuff is really annoying.
If you buff her numbers, then we end up with another Darius. I think we have to rework a few parts of her kit.

Well she definitely is not broken, as her kit is working as intended. I don't think she is op either though she should probably be toned down damage-wise early game and move it to her mid-late game.

Illaoi is nothing but raw damage. She has one spell that's kinda utility, but other than that, she's straight damage.

And it's not even mixed damage, no magic, or true damage to be found.

Honestly, I'd much, MUCH rather play against Illaoi than play against Darius, Fiora, Renekton, or Riven.

Most people just crying that they can't play an extremely aggressive lane on her. Her tentacles and abilities force you to play passively and move a LOT unless you have huge range on her.

She's about the same as any other top that gets fed... and people like to feed her cause they get impatient.

I agree. She isn't broken at all. 0 Mobility, 0 CC (outside of a 2 second slow that she doesn't even get to take advantage of), her e is easy to take care of all you have to do is dodge the extremely telegraphed attack and then kill it while continuing to farm. while you're a vessel you just have to be passive instead of aggro. and not to mention that all of her damage comes from her tentacles. If people are smart and can keep control on your tentacles or make it a point to fight her away from her tentacles she's almost useless. granted all of her power comes from team fights with her ult. otherwise she's fairly balanced. she's a juggernaut. She's meant to deal a lot of damage over the course of a fight. people cried the same thing when darius got reworked. and they have barely touched his damage.

Literally the only annoying part of this champ is the vessel. Her kit is VERY easy to play around and centers entirely around her or her team keeping you in her ultimate's tentacles. If you kite her out she does less than nothing - her entire kit is focused around the idea of her getting into and staying within melee range of you without a single piece of hard CC in her kit. I think she may truly be the first balanced Juggernaut that Riot has introduced. Her scalings may need to change slightly or be rebalanced throughout her kit, but she's definitely not OP.

That spirit shit is SUPER annoying tho.

i had a game in blind pick as quinn top, where i was 1vs2 (illaoi and lee sin)... still won that lane and the game

as long as you dodge her q and e, and if you can kill the nearest tentacles (push the wave so its safer), she's pretty easy to fight against (i have experience only with quinn tough)
