I just hit level 30 5 games ago, im not a smurf, I hardly have rune pages, and in my last 5 games the enemy team has had 1 plat, 4 golds, and 5 silvers (according to OP.GG). Some bronze as well but no one would take this seriously if i included them. This problem honestly started to show up around level 25, and at this point i just avoid SR because i know that at least one team (statistically the enemy team, i have only gotten 1 gold and 5 silvers on my team for those 5 games i mentioned) is going to have a significant experience and skill advantage. right now im sitting at a 35% winrate (20% for the 5 example) and I just want a close game, a fair game. I know that rank doesnt factor in to normal matchmaking, but I honestly dont know why the game has such a high opinion of me. Is my best bet to just jump into ranked with my half ass runes and mostly support champs, that way I can at least maybe get put in with other new players and get a chance to practice and play without getting my teeth kicked in every game? I understand the value of playing against better people, but this just really isnt fun anymore.

Don't jump into ranked immediately. Build up a roster of champions you are skilled with and get some basic runpages set up. practice CSing extensively That's my best advice.

This will get a lot better if you play normal draft, blinds is a clownfest. Your matchmaking rating will also stabilize over time.

And whatever you do, dont jump straight into ranked, you will be destroyed, demoralized and embedded facedown in bronze V.

You will want several champions that can play in at least two roles, which you are very good at, enjoy playing, and have at least a 60% winrate with in normals. You will also want some basic knowledge of every role so you can understand what your team and the other team are doing. And you will need extreme patience for bullshit, crying brats and meltdowns, and all sorts of nonsense.

You're over thinking this. This game is a game of chance. You're gonna win games regardless of what you do and you're gonna lose games regardless of what you do. It doesn't really matter how good or how bad you are. Those Silver and Gold players you're so afraid of are only at their rank because of luck.
