Status of Taric Update

Just wondering where we are on Taric's gameplay and visual update? The last thing I heard was they were auditioning voice actors and that he wouldn't be released until after the next champ. Do we have any more info on new Taric other than that his ultimate might be the most powerful situational spell in the game?

If I remember correctly a rioter said that he should be coming out after the next champion or two.
