Addressing Smurf issues

Here's something that will help, Riot:

Say you have a summoner, who's level is 5 AND whose last 5 games looked something like 24/2/19. Boost his level gain substantially.

Why? Either 1, he's a smurf, and you need to get him out of lower elo so the new players can be left alone. 2, he's just a better player and needs to be up against tougher more experienced opponents. Again, if he just won 5 games in a row but didnt have insane stats like I listed, then dont boost him. But this seems like something that might not fix the issue, but help a lot.

But the new players never get better if they're never facing a challenge or being paired with someone skilled enough to provide insight.

I see your point. I however will argue with this:

You learn more simply by doing and testing the waters. You retain far more knowledge from that than advice. Also, smurf players TEND to be rather rude. Maybe the system could pair those amazing stats with, say, if they've been reported? That would tell riot that he's not only better than others in his elo, he's also being rude to them.

That and half the "smurfs" in low level are people scripting to level accounts to 30 to sell them.

This just makes their jobs easier...

Let me ask you. if someone was paid by a friend to level an account for a bit of money. Would they do it? Would you ? If people kept coming to you offering like 100$ would you keep doing it as long as it's good? But leveling a new account all the time becomes tireing. And they wanna get them done asap to get paid quicker... so what do they turn to? ....

Botting (for those in aram) and scripting.

I honestly did not think of this. At the same time I dont understand why people want to play a fun game... without playing the f*ckin' game. This generation pisses me off sometimes.

Good point you bring up though. I'm not totally sure about how I'd counter that. I'd say track IP but that would be a whole new mess and that's just a can of worms I don't wanna open. I'll put thought into it though.

The issue is how the system would be able to verify a smurf from a beginner. Just because someones match history has a series of wins, doesn't make them a smurf, same thing can be applied if someone got a really good kda with a champion in a few of those games.

Some champions like Fizz or Katarina can easily gain high kda scores and win games in low tier games naturally due to the nature of their kit, and it's not unheard of to perform well with champions you have experience with and win in succession.

I can understand what you mean, but the issue would fall onto how the system would be able to combat smurfing, as it is such a hard problem to target.

Addressing your concerns with champions likeFizz or Katarina, Riot knows that there are champions that simply do very well in lower elos. I can name a few myself Garen MasterYi Heimerdinger Illaoi. Riot would (or should rather) take these "OP Low elos" into account and give them a different system. Or something like that. I know what I'm saying is vague but I think you get what I'm trying to get across. Some champions are made for beginners. Others do well 1v1. 1v1 is most of the fighting in lower summoner levels, so it would make sense do give 1v1able champions a different scale than others.

That's a big thumbs up! The whole point of ranking system is to sort the players according to ability so we can all have fun playing.
