The new rammus changes that were made this patch are ridiculously unnecessary, I just got the chance to try it out on the LIVE server AND WOW really Riot?????

I'm a Rammus One trick Main AND I ACTUALLY have the 2ND MOST, YES the 2ND MOST Mastery Points in NORTH AMERICA... and THE 14TH MOST in the WORLD FOR RAMMUS http://championmasterylookup.derpthemeus.com/champion/?champion=33 <---------Proof

I'll start off by saying THANK YOU for making AP Rammus not viable anymore but in "TRYING" to do so you seem to have forgotten that he' Rammus was originally made to be a VERY tanky MOBILE champ; THIS update was a huge NERF to his kit. Rammus is a ARMOR-dillo and WAS meant to go fast, I first played Rammus and fell in love with him ONLY because he WAS FAST ( A LOT of emphasis on the WAS because YOU RIOT just nerfed him)

This new effect of slowing him by 60%!!!!! for the duration of his W is crippling, I can't even imagine HOW SLOW he'd be walking through basic slowing abilities like Teemo Shrooms, Jhin Traps, Lulu Polymorphs, Nasus Wither, Zilean Time Warp, Illaoi's Test of Spirit a Anivia Ult, a Gangplank Ult etc the list goes on & on & on but think about this.............. From THREE years of EXPERIENCE, Rammus USED to be a hard counter for Illaoi. Now I think it's the other way around. Its physically IMPOSSIBLE to dodge her ability Tentacle Smash while using W AND TO TOP IT OFF as said earlier her ability Test of the Spirit slow percentage is 80%, with my 60% Self Crippling effect that puts me at 140% HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO AVOID TENTACLES...................

Over the last THREE years of playing LoL as a Rammus MAIN I played Rammus almost EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! I can tell you that by experience that many times I've used MY Defensive Ball Curl (W) TO avoid dying WHILE BEING CHASED NOW I can't even move yet alone run away OR dodge ABILITIES from ANYONE while using (W)....... I'VE also used it SEVERAL times (probably millions) to TANK Turret hits to help salvage the minion wave, & then simply walk out of range and then walk back in to help my teammates get the objective BUT NOW with the new 60% slowing effect you barely can move yet alone try and effectively tank ANY turret shots, unless you're standing at the border of the circle FORGET attacking the turret while tanking.......The new CD reduction for it is OKAY but as you remove it to move faster to get OUT of turret range you instantly take a FULL DMG turret shot.

Now for the E, Frenzying Taunt, I get you were updating Rammus to avoid Seeing AP Rammus But these new changes to his E will now make people "THINK" they can build Attack Speed on him. Do I need to remind you that Rammus is and ARMOR-dillo???? The Armor reduction was IDEAL for HIS kit Attack speed barely benefits him??? ALSO WHY WOULD HIS POWERBALL (Q) GET CANCELLED WHEN USING Zz Rot Portal, Talisman of Ascension, Locket of the Iron Solari, Knight's Vow & Hextech GLP-800 but IT DOESN'T get cancelled when using Randuin's Omen, Righteous Glory or when Dropping Wards.................

Anyways I could go ALL DAY as to what I think you could have done better but until my request IS met I won't know for sure what will happen to my future with League Of Legends and I SAY this with complete sincerity I'm a big fan I've applied to several opportunities on Riots career page and I don't think I've missed ANY EU & NA LCS Broadcasts over the last two years, BUT these changes to Rammus make me want to uninstall, as you've completely crippled my favorite champion.

My favourite change about Rammus is how his tankiness is now scaling. So it's mean to be mid-late game.

And yet offence is also meant to outscale tankiness mid to late game.

So his tankiness is practically designed to only matter when it ends up being useless. lol

........ But slows don't stack. They changed it like, two years ago so that only the most powerful slow will effect your champion. One of your most vocal complaints literally cannot happen.

I couldnt agree with you more sirgrey, I had been playing rammus a lot over the last year and really enjoyed this champion but the changes to his W are unbearable. I tried one game with him today and it felt awful. Like you said using your W in a team fight basically cements you to the ground, I found myself forced to attempt to deactivate my W every time id start a team fight just to have some level of mobility. I even tried buying swiftness boots to counteract some of the slow from the W is still felt terrible. I could deal with the rest of the changes but what they did to his W is ridiculous. Using his W feels awful.....hit W and watch the opposing team all walk away from you with 0 chance of being caught.

I feel you, they gutted the champion to play the most . They pigeon holed him into jungle. I play him top lane and farming minions is hell to do now, impossible to win a single lane any longer thanks to this retarded slow.

I was once the 11th Rammus in EUNE and I have been Rammus main since s3... This slow is SOOOO bad... And even worse is how u are forcing Rammus to max his Q and giving no early tankiness or clear power w/ his W by making it flat dmg w/ no items.

I agree the W change is one of the dumbest things ever to have happened to Rammus, I play Rammus support regularly nearly every day and now I can't use my w to dodge and gain resistances if necessary or tank things while running to peel for my ad, but the q change I completely agree. The item usage needs to be all or nothing not just some items.

There is absolutely no value to the new changes, they're an extremely hard nerf that make Rammus, previously a decently-powered situational champ, completely unplayable. Far and away the most mis-guided rework I've seen since I started league

I agree with OP. While I may not have nearly as much experience on Rammus as OP or others commenting, I loved the champ before and he was one of the few jungle champs I would play. He just feels horrible now. I really, really don't see the reason why Rammus' W should cause him to be slowed by 60%, especially when any hard cc can break his Q. In my opinion, it completely defeats the entire purpose of the champion.

On a side note, the champ just doesn't seem as tanky anymore either. If I can't run anyone down anymore while having W on, at least provide a bit more survivability.

I think what pisses me off more than anything about it is not the actual changes (damage) done to this champ, but the fact that they chose to do this to a completely fine champ instead of about 100 more things that were probably more necessary.

Mr. Sir Grey, I am a Rammus main myself, and disapprove of these changes.

However, shouting at everyone and demanding answers is the fastest way to get your opinion ignored. I understand that you're angry, hell, so am I. But if we want to affect actual change, we need to be calm and reasonable. Shouting down dissenters doesn't serve your purpose, it actually detracts from it.

So please ease of the caps lock, friend, and maybe we can get Meddler in here to try and shed some light on this.

W = broken

The Curled Up disadvantage is a staggering one, slowing you down more than most hostile crowd control equivalents, and is tied directly to his access to damage mitigation. It's also the only way to keep Frenzying Taunt activated outside of its initial 1.25 second window, meaning that you need both running at the same time in order to have access to Rammus's offensive tools.

That means that most tanks -- indeed, most champions in general -- can just walk off once the short taunt duration ends.

Now, sure, the rework to Tremors should theoretically help with that. It slows affected enemies by 8-12%, stacking every time the DOT triggers for up to a 64 to 96% slow. That's not insignificant unto itself! Except that each tick of damage is spread out enough that they can still walk away from a Rammus with Defensive Ball Curl up.

Given that Rammus only has middling tankiness without Defensive Ball Curl, he effectively can't actually afford to run into a fight like he's designed to. The emergent properties of his current kit's interactions incentivizes him to use Defensive Ball Curl like a pseudo-Zhonya's Hourglass instead -- you pop it after you're already in trouble, so that your allies can rush in to take advantage of the enemy's wasted cooldowns.

Unlike Zhonya's, though, DBC is pretty useless if you're already low on health.

Champion.gg has noted a small decline in Jungle Rammus's winrate since the latest patch -- but the most dramatic demonstration of its shortcomings is with the top lane win/loss rate. Rammus's inability to trade or force fights is aimplified in a 1v1 situation such as top lane. Here's hoping that Patch 7.11 at least mitigates or removes that Curled Up slow, or Rammus mains are in for a tough summer.

Slows don't stack anymore bud, strongest slow takes effect, the others simply run out their timer in case they have a longer duration.

I would ask anyone who wants to discuss about the Rammus rework to see my thread in this board, I personally find most of the changes acceptable, but I'm very concerned about how the channeled Q turns you into a ball to be kicked around instead of a rolling wrecking ball. Pretty serious about it, not simple overraction.

Upvoted, as I can see every ADC main in the game has downvoted you. They dumpstered Rammus with the ridiculous and unnecessary W nerf. All the other changes are fine, but seriously, making the main tank ability next to useless for, you know, a tank...? 60% self slow or lose your tank ability. Hmm...
