Yasuo Windwall, minor change

Ok, lets be honest, Yasuo in general probably needs some minor nerfs right now. But I want to talk about his wand wall, and how it works. One I think it's a little OP to begin with blocking multiple ults and all AA's. BUT, thats not my real beef with it. My real problem is that it should really only block straight line projectiles, it should NOT block things that go up and come down like Nami's bubbles! It probably shouldn't block some of the other borderline spells like Heimerdingers E/stun either.

In my opinion, and in order for it to be consistent with other abilities in the game, Yasuo wind wall should only block dircetional spells. Meaning spells that go in a line, like Lux Q, Nami ult, MF ult (as it already does). And should NOT block the omni directional abilities like namis bubble.

It's a small change that i think makes sense, and it's not like Yasuo is in a state where a minor change like this would really hurt him.

And it should only block things from the front.

Yasuo has, since the Warlord's and Shiv nerfs, had one of the worst winrates of any champion in Diamond. It's about a 45% average, but it's dropped down to below 40% at times.

That means that, at higher levels of play where people know what they're doing, Yasuo is one of the least likely champs to win a game with. Even looking at over-all stats.. He's been within 1% of 50% for weeks now.

Yasuo really doesn't need "minor nerfs" or any nerfs right now. He could really probably do with some minor buffs, considering he's showing to be horrifyingly weak once you get to the point where people have any idea how to play.

It blocks anything coded as a projectile that doesn't move above the map's visible area, such as Xerath's and Ziggs's ults, or Nautilus's ult, which is something of a corner case due to how it moves.

It's only unintuitive if you try to think about it using physics-based interactions. Instead, look at it mechanically. Does it move in a line from one point to another without rising above the map? If yes, then it's projectile and it probably gets blocked.

Also, yasuo is really kind of weak right now because of the various indirect nerfs. No need for any kind of direct nerfs at this point.

What i find funny is this wall blocking vel'koz W and Braum ult while those are not even projectiles and they are litteraly coming from the ground. Like, does his wind protect the ground under it too?? How???

And I agree with the whole throw thing, just so you know how much nonsense this is, syndra can throw her W over his wall but nami and heimer can't throw their stuns...

easy fix: change windwall to only reduce the damage and speed from missiles, instead of completely negating the effects and damage.

it shouldn't block veigar's ult. because it did the other day.

Yasuo's terribly broken. And not in the "omg so OP" way.

His Wind Wall doesn't block the right projectiles (like Nunu's snowball), his dash range is inconsistent, his ult has inconsistent positioning as well as it sometimes doesn't apply to all targets within the radius who are knocked up, and his Q damage doesn't always go through under the right circumstances.

In general, Yasuo has a very inconsistent kit that flows well at first (pun intended) but after 170+ games of playing, you definitely start to notice many inconsistencies.

those are considered projectiles, for consideration it wont stop an azir from throwing his soldier at you through it or charging you

MacDeath12/23/2015, 4:53:18 PM1 votes

It should not block Nami's entire ult. That's stoopid.

I think yasuo's windwall should stop projectiles from both teams maybe then it would actually require skill and communication to use
