A look at Ashe in mid-season

It would be great if a Red could look at this and explain a couple things to me. First off, I love what the Ashe update did to her kit last year. It made her cool, powerful, and able to keep up with the other ADC's of the season, something she's never been able to do. Good job! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

My first question is about why such harsh nerfs to her kit in pre-season and no buffs for her in mid-season? She basically doesn't play like her rework kit anymore and she's just not fun to play, even for someone who used to main her, and she's still the highest mastery champion I have. Even if she builds damage, she's too squishy in team fights to be of any use once she gets into auto attack range, and doesn't do enough damage to compensate for this. Granted, she starts doing damage once she's fed, but if a champion has to get fed to be relevant, doesn't that mean that she should do a little bit more damage in order to not be a detriment if she's not fed? I've seen Ashe's in my games who do fairly well on fair and don't die too much just not contribute to teamfights even if she's there the whole time. That, I feel, shouldn't happen for an ADC, where the damage they deal is just negligible.

My main gripe is how poorly she lanes, teamfights, even pokes with her ultimate (which is a bit slow and ridiculously hard to aim for the full duration because of it), especially after Riot took such care in making her kit fun and enjoyable. Wasn't that the main reason you gave her these changes anyway, because her old kit wasn't fun or enjoyable? A utility-carry should be able to have utility (which, granted she does have a little, but seeing as her E is now a free item on a better cooldown, and many champions have more consistent forms of utility than her) to help control a fight, while also having the damage to be able to pull her weight in terms of DPS. People expect ADC's to do damage, and Ashe just isn't doing that nor is she controlling the teamfight.

My main questions is what direction do you see Ashe going, a holding pattern while "problem champions" get hammered down first, or a little bit of buffs to make her at least a semi-decent pick in the right comp? Right now, she's not viable in really any comp, as all of the other ADC's have something that can bully her out of lane, or just straight up kill her if she tries to leave the tower. Shouldn't just be something other than a walking ward for her team and a free lunch for the enemy team? I know that her winrate hasn't actually changed since the nerfs, but she still isn't fun to play, and she doesn't have a place even in normals.

The crit removal wanst a nerf. actually it was a buff, because now the the formal crit damage is still there and she even gets a better slow, if she "crits" now. It is just that the meta really does no favor her.

This. The crit removal was a buff because you can't just buy randuins and destroy her damage. Her overall slow is stronger if you build crit and her Q is able to be activated multiple times now which are insanely strong buffs. The only drawbacks to the update was that Q isn't able to be activated before getting stacks for a quick slow/attack speed buff and that the Q now removes the slowing effect so you might actually have to strategically choose when to use it. Ashe's buffs heavily outweigh her nerfs.

The only change that was made is that the amplified dmg on frozen targets no longer counts as crit due to the old warlords. So it was a flat out buff and nothing about this change was a nerf.
