All of my friends are saying that the new Warwick Warwick is pretty bad. I disagree with them because I am doing a pretty good score when I am with him. But I just need others opinion to know what other players would think of this reworked champ..

depends how they play him. imo, it's dumb to engage with ww. you gotta let someone else engage then you can go in and actually be effective.

Melee toplaners are probably saying he's OP but in this meta, who ganks top anyways? :P

Warwick really really REALLY wants to get close because that's where all of his kit is focused. Granted, his kit does allow him some means to get close! Q gapcloser, W movespeed if you're already low/he's used its active. Ult jump. If you can deny his all-ins with CC and other peel or just... walking back to turret? Then he's less of a threat.

  • His Q has short range and is targeted (he can't just use it to dash to you unless he's already close)
  • His W, while sounding OP, can make Warwicks see the red mist and think irrationally. I had a Warwick come botlane against me (Zyra) and Vayne botlane because OMG LOW HEALTH ZYRA? EZ kill on the squish botlane... I was the bait. He came bot, I rooted him followed by Vayne's condemn and we killed Warwick. Also, Warwick's W ACTIVE is put on a long CD and only really lets him get to a champ faster.
  • His E... just keep your distance from it. If you're caught in it, you may be screwed.
  • His R. It's a threat for sure... but a few things: He can be CC'd out of it (he can be CC'd during the suppress, NOT during the leap! Remember that!). A simple Thresh flay can interrupt it. It is NOT point-and-click. It's a skillshot now and he CAN miss it, effectively putting one of his most effective moves on cooldown and leaving him very vulnerable to being whittled down. Think of it like a way longer Vi Q and with a different effect afterward. :P Similarities being that... it can be dodged and it can be bodyblocked.
  • His Passive: he just... gets insane lifesteal when below half-health but only during autos... which he has to be close for.

tl;dr: He's very melee. Every bit of his kit relies on him being super close to be "OP". He's a harmless puppy if you can kite him since he can't get health back OR do damage AT ALL if you just keep him at range.

He is perfectly balanced.

He's not op. I have dove very well with him but I played new and old WW a lot. Outside of me and a Very few others I have played against who played him I have seen a lot of very bad WW. He plays very different and his abilities have to be used in certain orders depending on the fight you getting into. I also run exhaust on him which I find helps a lot in fights because he is ability dependent most of the time and it helps with early ganks. If WW false behind he will struggle to catch up.

IMO, the old Warwick would kick the new Warwick's butt. It was an overall nerf. But if your team gets ahead, the new Warwick can help snowball the game by securing low health targets. The old Warwick would fight when his ult was off cooldown. The new Warwick wants your team to be fighting all the time so that there are always plenty of low health targets to chase down.

Warwick has gained kind of more flexibility in the play style. This can be observed from his early game and teamfights.

For his early game, due to his CC from the E, he could now not only countergank, he could invade, and gank lanes. Moreover, your Q now is like an alpha strike like master yi, if you time it correctly, you will follow people when they use gap closers to escape.

For the teamfights, CC from his E and the change to skillshot for his ultimate has allowed more flexible play style. You can initiate by your ultimate and CC from E to lock down the enemy team. Or if things goes bad, you could use your E to CC the enemy and disengage with your ulimate. Of course you would say your ulimate is harder to hit becoz of it becoming a skill shot, but the flexibility it brings to warwick outweighs the lost of point and click since it could be compensated by your own adjustments.

Overall, the change of warwicks kit is much welcome as it brings in more dynamic in his plays. Giving him a higher skill cap where players need more understanding of his kit rather than just power farming for a safe ultimate.

Early game, yes as long as he isn't beneath half mana or health. Late game? HAHAHAHAHAHA. no. His Ult only works if the rest of the team is either dead, or off in lala land. Anything else and it's practically feeding. His Q and E doesn't have enough range for him to kite properly, should someone dive to hard. He also has a slow movement speed and his w can be as glitchy as his q.

People call him OP in terms of jgl, and he is. But when it comes to the endgame and ganking, he's too slow, and can do nothing against assassins with boots of swiftness. and this item 3388
