(PSA) In A Perfect World...

... Every champion and role would be balanced, everyone would sit at about a 50% winrate, items would work as intended, the game would play out.

For one, 95%-ish of the champions currently sit at an overall 48-52% winrate, with high outliers only being at 55%. Winrates are balanced. Some champions do better in different ELOs due to popularity, counterpicks, meta, etc. Bronze/silver/low gold give some good champions bad names, due to the fact these players can't always perform at a perfect level. The game IS balanced around professional play, meaning every single champion is viable on a professional level. This is the reason winrates even themselves out when compared across all ELOs.

I hear complaints about mages being too strong, AP items are too strong, xxx champion is too strong, etc. I'M Bronze (not a competetive player, but when I am I do perform at low? Gold (idk if gold 4-5 would be low or high tbh)) and I have never had a problem against any champion when I pick with the right mindset. You cannot pick Ahri into Zed or Yasuo and complain about balance. You cannot pick Yasuo or Nunu into Swain and complain about balance. Every champion has weaknesses and counterpicks that can be exploited, as well as strengths that work the same way.

I hear complaints about ADCs melting tanks with "only" 5 items. If an ADC has 5 items and you're being melted by them, it's early enough into the game that they can be considered fed. You need to be paying attention to every player, not just yourself, to succeed. If they have 5 items and you have 3, look at your bot lane's scores. This doesn't mean flame them, it just means you need to understand it wasn't your fault.

I hear complaints about assassins building full tank but doing damage. These ARE the tanks right now. They can still be shut down. They aren't building true tank, they are building bruiser, they have health and damage, they don't have stats. They can be CC'd and bursted as normal still.

I hear complaints about true tanks. These guys are built to take damage, no they aren't going to die in one full combo even if you're fed. No they're not good early game. No, they cannot kill a carry laner like Renekton 1v1 in lane.

I hear complaints about junglers. Junglers are hard to talk about honestly, sometimes they need items to gank, or a specific level, or you're pushed up, or you're losing lane too hard that it's not worth it, or they'd rather snowball a carry champion like that which resides in bot, or the already 3/0/0 Riven top lane, or the 2/0/0 Zed midlane. Sometimes they need time to take objectives, answer jungler's pings and they're more likely to help. If every lane is pushed up to enemy turret and/or losing, the jungler WILL powerfarm jungle.

Honestly, the only thing wrong is people not understanding to accept and improve their mistakes. Even in low elo, people can watch for enemy mistakes and capitalize on them, but they need to learn how to watch their own mistakes as well. THIS is the only reason I can play at a gold level, honestly. Most of the time I don't know how to make good drag/baron calls, when/how to gank, when to roam as mid or support, when to teleport, sometimes my CS is shit, etc. But what I can do is watch my map, ward, and know when something was my fault or not.

Keystones are more or less balanced, too, honestly. I hear a lot of talk about them recently, but they haven't been buffed, nerfed, or changed. They've been like this for a while now, you just don't know how to play against Bruiser Yasuo. Honestly, it is just as easy as baiting the windwall and CCing him. Windwall is on a 14? Second cooldown at max rank, and it is maxed last. You can also just play Swain and he won't get enough CS or kills to buy items. I can't remember the last time a Yasuo DIDN'T ragequit against a Swain picked against him, making him go 0/5+. Personally, I find tanks with Grasp more toxic to play against than anything else.

Also, Trinity Force costs almost 4,000 gold. It is the bruiser equivalent of Rabadon's. It is just able to provide usefulness earlier into the game due to Rabadon's %AP bonus. Yes, Trinity Force snowballs games, but so do Abyssal Scepter, Youmuu's/Cleaver, and Duskblade. Every archetype other than tanks has a snowball item. But tanks have their anti snowball item (Sterakk's) allowing them to not be bursted as easily.

All in all, the game is, in fact, balanced. Items are fine, despite a couple needing to be tuned down (Wit's End, luckily no one buys it. Duskblade is oppressive, but I play lots of AP champs so I can buy Zhonya's no problem. Zz'rot is disgusting in numbers.) Item builds are fine. (Unless you build Zz'rot + Banner on Heimerdinger. That is NOT okay. I think to fix these items, they should make them like the hydras and limit it to one or the other) Champions are balanced. (But can we agree Jhin is pretty loaded right now? He's my go to ban every game right now just cause I haven't learned how to deal with him.) Keystones are pretty nice to have, I love the extra damage on my damage champions, the extra tankiness on my junglers, the extra sustain on my top laners, and the extra utility on my supports and utility mages.

All in all, we should focus on the real problem. If you're on red side you can place a Caitlyn trap behind the turret and force people to step on it for free poke/kills. THESE ARE THE REAL PROBLEMS WE SHOULD FOCUS ON, not blaming champions for being "op" cause you can't play against them.

If I can get a pentakill and S+ my fourth time ever playing Urgot, then we can all agree this game is doing just fine. (I went Grasp by the way)
