Do you even get blue essence from winning games anymore?

Like I know you get 50 for the win of the day but like, what else? Because I feel like i've been winning a lot of games recently but I'm only sitting at like 300 blue essence.

When we had IP I would probably have enough for another champ by now with first of the days and subsequent games.

Did riot switch to blue essence so we couldn't buy champs normally anymore?

I mean it would make sense, sometimes you don't get champion shards from the level up capsule, you get 50 blue essence and champ shards are usually worth between 90-1350.

That's a pretty shitty thing to do riot. Why don't you focus on making money from skins we'd want to buy instead of forcing new players / accounts from spending money on champs? Isn't this what EA did with Battlefront?

No, you don't earn BE after each game. You earn XP, and when you reach a new level, you get a capsule that has champion shards worth between 810 and 1260 BE. You can choose to either disenchant them for the raw currency, or save them to get a discount on unlocking that champion (or for unlocking mastery 6 or 7)

On average, unless you are playing around 8+ games a day or so, you actually earn BE faster than you earned IP before, and even faster when you consider the discounts you can get

Are you saying all the champ shards in a capsule in total are worth between 810-1260 or a single champion shard is worth between 810-1260? Because those are both wrong. Individual champion shards can be worth between 90 and 1260 so if you get a Singed (90) and a Taliyah (1260) that's 1350 total. Or you could get five 90 BE shards for 450 BE at the lowest total.

It's the total value in the capsules. Sometimes you don't always get that much from champion shards alone, so they give a flat amount of BE to make up that difference.

And the max amount you can get is 1260. If you get a 6300 champion shard, there's nothing else in the capsule.

I JUST opened a capsule with Taliyah (1260) akali (630) and Singed (90)

The Wolf King is referring to standard capsules you get for normal level ups, glorious capsules for milestones (e.g. 50) have more generous rewards, also with a range of potential values (that I don't know off the top of my head).

There's a glorious capsule? It looked the same as any other capsule. It gave me an emote that's all that was really different from it.

Yup. It's a little fancier but same design overall, so easy to miss. Milestones have a guaranteed 6300 champ shard+ a few other random champ capsules to get within the expected BE range, and an emote. I believe the level 100 one also has a unique ward skin, and milestones past a certain point have gemstones as well.

Overall the BE system is better than IP unless you play a lot/day (because theres more weight to first win of the day now than before), but it can feel slower since you get the reward in big chunks upon level up instead of a slow drip from every game. If one is careful and does all the math over the entire range up to and including a glorious capsule, even people those getting unlucky with all their capsules still tends to come out slightly ahead compared to those who might have played the same number of games in the old system.

Apologies, was this your level 50 reward?

Certain milestone levels award what is called a "Glorious Champion Capsules" which has additional rewards in it from the basic leveling ones.

It's been a while now that you only get blue essence on leveling up, besides win of the day.

So, unless I lvl up, I don't earn anything anymore no matter how many times I play and win. What about those players maxed their lvls?

Edit: I just read that there is not cap lvl, so the rewards are infinity pretty much.
